Description

The marinaforum Regensburg is a spatial wonder for meetings, congresses, seminars, etc. and impresses with its spectacular, listed industrial architecture. Green meetings with a model character in Bavaria, innovative technology for hybrid events and a handicapped accessible concept distinguish the marinaforum in the old town.   • The nearest bus stop is about 300 m away. 
  • There are six parking spaces for people with disabilities in the multi-storey car park.  One parking space is at least 350 cm wide and 500 cm long.
  • The parking space is 20 m from the entrance.
  • The entrance/access to the building is step-free (max. 2 cm threshold, if necessary via a ramp). 
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used and raised for the guest are accessible without steps or accessible via a lift.  
  • Lift cars are at least 108 cm x 145. Lift doors are at least 90 cm wide.
  • Passages and doors are at least 88 cm wide.
  • The mobile, lowered reception counter is 75 cm high at its lowest point. 
  • The drinks and food counter is 96 cm high at its lowest point. 

Toilet for people with disabilities (ground floor foyer)

  • The door is at least 105 cm wide.
  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the washbasin 150 cm x 165 cm;
    in front of the toilet 765 cm x 150 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 96 cm x 132 cm;
    96 cm x 95 cm to the right of the toilet.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.
  • Both grab rails can be folded up. 
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible. It is 67 cm high and at least 30 cm deep.
  • The mirror can be seen while sitting or standing.

  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.
  • Both grab rails can be folded up. 
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible. It is 67 cm high and at least 30 cm deep.
  • The mirror can be seen while sitting or standing.
  • The shower is accessible without steps. 
  • The shower area is 135 cm x 145 cm.
  • Grab rails are provided in the shower.
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if required (fixed, folding, hook-in or mobile and stable).
  • An alarm trigger is available.

  • Assistance dogs (companion dogs, guide dogs for the blind, etc.) may be brought into all relevant areas/rooms of the establishment/offerings.  
  • The entrance area is recognisable by a tactile change of flooring and visually contrasted with the surroundings. 
  • There are glass doors, some of which have no safety markings at a height of 40-70 cm and 120-160 cm.
  • There are no floor indicators in the indoor and outdoor areas.
  • All raised areas that can be used by guests (entrance area, cash desk/counter, bedrooms, corridors, hallways) are well lit, i.e. bright and glare-free.
  • Stairs have handrails on both sides. 
  • An outgoing emergency call in the lift is confirmed acoustically, e.g. by an intercom system.
  • The signage for orientation is designed in clearly legible lettering. There is a good visual contrast between the lettering/pictogram and the background. 
  • Numbers, letters (up to 4 characters) or pictograms are tactilely perceptible (e.g. relief or prismatic writing).
  • Information for orientation is available in Braille.
  • There is an accessible homepage that has been tested or certified.
