Magic Bavaria Interactive Museum

All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility certified - partially accessible for people with walking disabilities".  

Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.

• There are two parking spaces for people with disabilities.
• The “Olympia Einkaufzentrum” bus stop and subway station are 70 meters away. 
• Almost all areas and facilities accessible to guests are step-free/at ground level or accessible via a ramp or elevator. Some attractions can only be reached via steps.
• There are no slopes steeper than 6%.
• All doors, passageways, and pathways accessible to guests are at least 80 cm wide.
• The ticket counter is 115 cm high.
• Exhibits and information are primarily visible while seated.
• Seating is available.
• There is a public restroom for people with disabilities that is accessible from both sides (at least 80 cm). Folding grab bars are available on the left and right sides of the restroom.   
• Guided tours are offered for people with mobility impairments and wheelchair users. Advance registration is required.
• Mobile or fixed seating is available for people with mobility impairments and can be used during the guided tour.

• Assistance dogs are not permitted.
• The entrance area is designed with high visual contrast.
• Signage (for wayfinding) is designed with clearly legible, high-contrast lettering.
• All elevated areas accessible to guests are illuminated with bright, glare-free lighting.
• An emergency call made from the elevator is confirmed by an audible signal.
• Some stairs have visually high-contrast edges on the first and last steps.
• Information about the exhibits is presented with high visual contrast.
• Seating is available.
• Information is not available in raised lettering or Braille.  
• Guided tours are not offered for people with visual impairments or blind people.

• In the event of an audible alarm, there is no additional visual flashing or strobe signal.
• There is no audio induction loop system. 
• An emergency call made from the elevator is confirmed only by an audible signal. Stairs are available as an alternative.
• Information about the exhibits is provided in writing.
• Seating is available.
• Guided tours for people with hearing impairments and deaf people (in German Sign Language) are not offered.

• The destinations of the trails are within sight, or trail markers are placed at a distance that ensures they are always visible.
