All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility certified - partially accessible for people with walking disabilities".
Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.
- There is one marked parking space for people with disabilities (parking space size: 350 cm x 500 cm).
- The building is steplessly accessible via the side entrance. At the main entrance there is a treshold of 4 cm.
- All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are accessible at ground level or via wheelchair lift.
- The platform of the wheelchair lift is 90 cm x 130 cm.
- All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 77 cm wide.
- The cash desk is 92 cm high at its lowest point.
- The exhibits are predominately visible while sitting.
- The information on the exhibits is predominately legible while sitting.
- There are guided tours offered for people with walking impairments and wheelchair users.
- Mobile or fixed seats are available for people with walking disabilities, which can be used during the guided tour.
- The entire route of the guided tour is steplessly accessible for wheelchair users.
- There is no public toilet designed for people with disabilities.
People with visual impairments and blind people

- Assistance dogs are allowed in relevant areas/rooms, except: guided tours.
- The entrance is visually rich in contrast and recognizable by a tactile change of floor covering.
- The signage is designed in clearly legible and contrasting font.
- At least at the first and last step, stairs have visually contrasting edges.
- Stairs have handrails on both sides.
- The exhibits are usually well illuminated.
- There is audible information on the exhibits (cinema).
- There are no guided tours offered for people with visual impairments and blind people.
People with hearing impairments and deaf people

- There is no clearly visible alarm.
- There is no audio induction loop at the counter.
- The information on the exhibits is predominately provided in written form.
- There is audible information on the exhibits/stations/objects.
- There are no guided tours offered for people with hearing impairment and deaf people.
People with cognitive impairments

- The name or logo of the establishment is clearly recognizable from the outside.
- The destinations of the paths are always within sight or there are signs at a visible distance.
- The information on the exhibits is predominately provided in written form, but not in easy language.
- Guided tours for people with cognitive impairments are offered on request. A reservation in advance is necessary.
- The contents (e.g. exhibits) of the guided tour for people with cognitive impairments are easy to understand or are explained in a way that is easy to understand (e.g. visually).
