The family-run Klosterhof in Bayerisch Gmain offers 65 rooms and suites in the midst of unspoiled nature. Due to the proximity to Bad Reichenhall, Berchtesgaden and Salzburg there are numerous excursion possibilities. The Artemacur Spa on 1500 m², the varied cuisine and accessible rooms make the stay special. The Artemacur Health Center offers medical wellness services such as liver fasting and healthy weight loss. Art and culture are writ large at the Klosterhof, with a hotel library and regular concerts and readings. There are two accessible rooms with spacious balconies and parking for people with limited mobility. The accessible bathrooms have step-free showers, wheelchair-accessible sinks and toilet grab bars. The building and facilities are accessible without steps, the restaurant has wheelchair accessible tables.

  • There is one marked parking space for people with disabilities (parking space size: 600 cm x 500 cm).
  • The surface quality of the car park is easy to walk and drive on.
  • The path from the car park to the entrance is 15 m long. It is not easy to walk and drive on.
  • A bus stop is 500 m away.
  • The building is steplessly accessible.
  • All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are steplessly accessible via elevators.
  • The elevator cabins measure 110 cm x 140 cm. The elevator doors are 90 cm wide.
  • Almost all evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 90 cm wide. Exception: Sauna (80 cm), Massageroom „Krokus“, Fitness-room (74 cm).
  • The reception desk is at its lowest point 110 cm high. There is another, equivalent communication possibility while in a sitting position.
  • There are flat steps with handrails for entering the swimming pool(s).
  • There are wheelchair accessible tables available in the restaurant (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of essential stationary furnishings (e.g. wardrobe) 170 cm x 147 cm;
    left of the bed 85 cm x 187 cm;
    right of the bed 194 cm x 187 cm.
  • The bed can/cannot be driven under.
  • The bed is 57 cm high.
  • A nursing bed is not available.
  • The manoeuvring spaces in the bathroom are:
    in front of/behind the; in front of the toilet and
    in front of the washbasin at least 150 cm x 150 cm;
    left of the toilet 137 cm x 57 cm and right of the toilet 115 cm x 57 cm.
  • There are grab rails available on the right and left of the toilet. The grab rails can be flipped-up.
  • The sink has limited access.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • The shower is accessible without thresholds.
  • The manoeuvring space in the shower is 140 cm x 150 cm.
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if required.
  • There are horizontally mounted grab rails available in the shower.
  • An alarm trigger (cord, button) is not available.

Public toilet for people with disabilities

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of/behind the door, in front of the toilet,
    in front of the washbasin at least 189 cm x 144 cm;
    left of the toilet 91 cm x 71 cm and right of the toilet 66 cm x 71 cm.
  • There are grab rails available on the right and left of the toilet. The grab rails can be flipped-up.
  • The sink has limited access.
  • The mirror is not visible while sitting.
  • An alarm trigger (cord) is available.

  • The outdoor-pool edges are visually contrasted. The indoor-pool edges are visually contrasted.
