Youth Hostel Wunsiedel

Description

Wunsiedel Youth Hostel - room for ideas, space to try things out! Whether mountain hiking, relaxing at the bathing lake, mountain biking & downhill park, family bike tours or skiing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing and snowshoeing in winter - immerse yourself in the diversity of our low mountain landscape in the Fichtelgebirge!

The youth hostel has 127 beds in 32 rooms. There are many double and family rooms with their own shower and WC, as well as 2 rooms suitable for disabled guests.
Special features: Behind the youth hostel is the Lernort-Natur and bird of prey park with special programmes for disabled groups.
When visiting the Luisenburg Festival, a disabled lift can be used and individual seats can be reserved.
Enjoying the community without barriers - To enable people with walking difficulties to enjoy their stay unhindered, these youth hostels are equipped to meet the needs of wheelchair users who can move their wheelchairs themselves.
Our tip: Youth hostels cannot always be correctly assigned to the terms "wheelchair accessible" and "wheelchair-friendly". Before you decide on a stay, get detailed advice from the hostel team.

Our house offers:

  • 2 dormitories for wheelchair users. The room sizes are designed to meet the needs of wheelchair users. Access to the sleeping wing via the outside area
  • 1 sanitary unit m/f each in the sleeping wing
  • The youth hostel is built on a slope, so wheelchair users will need help to negotiate slopes in the outdoor area. Stepless access is available to almost all conference and common rooms.
