Description

The youth hostel Lenggries offers everything your heart desires for a few relaxing days: 88 beds distributed in two-, four- and six-bed rooms, some of which are equipped with their own shower and toilet.

The youth hostel with lodge character is surrounded by a large recreational area. It is located on the northwestern outskirts of Lenggries below the Denkalm (about 40 minutes walk). It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the center. The house is an ideal starting point for all summer and winter sports. 

And for those who want to take it a little easier, the youth hostel is the perfect place to relax in the leisure rooms, the cozy lounge, the sun terrace or in the reading corner.

  • There is a general parking space available (approx. 30 m from the entrance; parking space size: 350 cm x 500 cm). There are no parking spaces designated for people with disabilities.
  • The path between the car park and the main and side entrances is not easy to walk and drive on.
  • The main entrance and the side entrance to the youth hostel are only accessible by stairs.
  • The reception counter is on the ground floor. The reception counter is 130 cm high at the highest point and 105 cm high at the lowest. There is an equivalent communication possibility in sitting position.
  • The evaluated areas such as rooms, leisure rooms on the upper and lower floors, etc. can only be reached via stairs.
  • Doors and passageways are sometimes less than 70 cm wide.
  • In the dining rooms there are wheelchair accessible tables.
  • There are no sanitary facilities designed for people with disabilities.

Room No. 5 "Seekarkreuz" (double bedroom) on the ground floor

  • The manoeuvring space in the bedroom is 150 cm x 103 cm in front of essential immobile furnishings, 172 cm x 210 cm to the right of the bed and no manoeuvring space to the left.
  • The washbasin in room 5 is wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of less than 30 cm. The mirror can be seen while standing and sitting.
  • The maximum height of the mattress is 45 cm.
  • For guests in room No. 5, public sanitary facilities (showers on the floor, toilet) are available.
  • There are no sanitary facilities designed for people with disabilities (no stepless shower, no grab handles, etc.). The door width of the sanitary area is 56 cm.

  • Assistance dogs are allowed.
  • The entrance area is visually contrasted to the surroundings and can be recognized by a tactile change of floor covering.
  • The control elements (e.g. door handles, light switches, emergency call buttons) are tactilely detectable almost everywhere.
  • The operating elements (e.g. door handles, light switches, emergency call buttons) are predominantly visually rich in contrast.
  • The paths in corridors are visually rich in contrast to the surroundings throughout the building.
  • Walls or other structural elements can predominantly be used as orientation.
  • All evaluated areas available to the guest (entrance area, cash desk/counter, bedrooms, corridors) are good, i.e. bright and glare-free illuminated.
  • There are visually contrasting step surfaces.
  • There is no uninterrupted guidance system (e.g. floor indicators) indoors and outdoors.
  • Signage is available in clearly legible font and is visually rich in contrast.
  • There is no information in Braille.

  • There is no clearly optically perceptible alarm.
  • There is no audio induction loop.
  • There is a technical possibility for deaf people to communicate with the service staff (WiFi).
  • In the dining rooms there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps standing or hanging that restrict the field of vision or eye contact. There are no seating areas with low background noises.
  • There is no free electrical outlet near the bed.
  • Ringing or knocking on the room door is not indicated by a flashing signal.

  • Name and logo of the establishment are clearly recognizable from the outside at the entrance.
  • Business cards/brochures with address and telephone number of the host are displayed at the reception and in the rooms.
  • There is no information in easy language. Information for orientation is occasionally available in photorealistic representation.
  • There is no colored or pictorial guidance system.
