Youth Hostel Eichstätt

• There is no in-house parking space available. At "Reichenaustraße" there are about 15 public parking spaces (at the street). Guests may drive up to the entrance of the youth hostel for loading and unloading.
• The nearest bus stop, "Elias-Holl-Straße", is approx. 120 m away. The path between the bus stop and the entrance is easy to walk or drive on and has a maximum longitudinal inclination of 7%.
• The entrance is accessible via a staircase with eight steps and a handrail on both sides.
• The reception counter is 110 cm high. There is an equivalent communication possibility in a sitting position.
• Some doors are less than 70 cm wide (e.g. to room 213, doors in the sanitary area).
• In the dining area there are wheelchair accessible tables.
• There is no toilet designed for people with disabilities.

Room No. 002 (multi-bedroom), ground floor

• The manoeuvring space in the bedroom is
  80 cm x 150 cm in front of essential immobile furnishings and
  at least 200 cm x 200 cm to the left of the bed, on the right the bed stands next to the wall.
• The bed is including mattress 45 cm high.
• A nursing bed cannot be provided.
• The sanitary areas are only accessible via doors narrower than 70 cm and are not barrier-free (no stepless shower, no grab handles etc.).

• Assistance dogs are allowed.
• The entrance is not visually contrasted to the surroundings, but can be recognized by a tactile change of floor covering.
• Glass doors are not marked with safety markings.
• Rooms and corridors are well illuminated, i.e. bright and glare-free almost everywhere.
• In general, the steps of the staircase are rich in contrast, exception: the staircase in the entrance area.
• The paths in corridors are visually contrasted with the surroundings.
• The walls or other structural elements can be used predominantly as orientation guidelines.
• Information is available in clearly legible font, but is not rich in contrast.
• There is no uninterrupted guidance system (e.g. floor indicators).
• There is no tactile information available (e.g. in Braille).

• There is no optically perceivable alarm in the building.
• There is no audio induction loop.
• In the dining room there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps that restrict the field of vision or eye contact.
• There are no seating areas with low background noises.
• In the evaluated rooms, there is no free electrical outlet near the bed.
• Knocking on room doors is not indicated by a flashing signal.
• WIFI is available in the public area.

• The name and logo of the company are clearly recognizable at the main entrance, but not at the side entrance/night entrance.
• Business cards/brochures with the address and telephone number of the youth hostel are visibly displayed at the reception desk.
• There is no information in easy language. Information is not provided by pictograms or pictures.
• There is an uninterrupted guidance system.
• There is no colored or pictorial guidance system.
