All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility certified - partially accessible for people with walking disabilities".

Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.

  • There is a car park for people with disabilities (parking space size: 350 cm x 500 cm).
  • The surface of the car park is not low-vibration and not easy to walk or drive on.
  • The car park is 20 m from the entrance.
  • Access to the building is stepless (max. 2 cm threshold) via the west entrance.
  • Almost all rooms are steplessly accessible via a lift. The 3rd floor (conference and recreation rooms) is only accessible via stairs. 
  • The lift cabin is 106 cm x 140 cm. The lift door is 80 cm wide.
  • Passages and doors are at least 80 cm wide. 
  • The reception counter is 115 cm high at its lowest point. 
  • There are 21 wheelchair-accessible tables in the dining room (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair-accessible at a height of 67 cm with a depth of 30 cm).

First floor1: Room no. 14

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of essential furnishings (e.g. cupboards) 150 cm x 200 cm;
    to the right of the bed 150 cm x 230 cm, 
  • There are no manoeuvring spaces to the left of the bed
  • The bed is 48 cm high.
  • The sink is not wheelchair accessible.

Basement: Public toilet and shower

  • The shower is steplessly accessible. 
  • The shower area is 88 cm x 88 cm.
  • There are grab rails in the shower.
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if required (permanently installed, foldable, hook-in or mobile and stable).
  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the sink 107 cm x 200 cm;
    in front of the toilet 130 cm x 91 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 91 cm x 61 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 49 cm x 61 cm.
  • There is a grab rail to the right of the toilet.
  • The sink is not wheelchair accessible.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • There is a button as an alarm trigger.

  • Assistance dogs (guide dogs, guide dogs for the blind, etc.) may be brought into all relevant areas/rooms of the establishment/provision.  
  • The entrance areas are visually contrasted with the surroundings.
  • There are no floor indicators.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the lift is confirmed acoustically, e.g. by an intercom system. The stopping position is not announced by voice. The controls and signage are not tactile.
  • The elevated areas that can be used by guests (entrance area, cash desk/counter, bedrooms, corridors, hallways) are predominantly well lit, i.e. bright and glare-free.
  • The signage is designed in easily legible lettering.

  • There is no audio induction loop system.
  • There is no clearly perceptible visual alarm. 
  • An outgoing emergency call in the lift is confirmed acoustically, e.g. by an intercom system, but not visually.
  • There are desks with bright and glare-free lighting, with no lamps standing or hanging on them that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact.
  • Ringing or knocking on the room door is not signalled by a flashing signal that can be heard in all rooms. 
  • W-LAN and fax are available.

  • The name or logo of the business/facility is clearly recognisable from the outside. 
  • The reception desk is directly visible from the entrance door or the route to it is signposted visually and without interruption.
  • A business card with address and telephone number is visibly displayed at the reception desk.
  • There is no information in easy language.
