  • There is a marked parking space for people with disabilities (parking space size: at least 350 cm 500 cm).
  • The main entrance can be reached from the car park via a 120 m long outdoor path with a gradient of 11% over a distance of one meter.
  • The main entrance to the building is steplessly accessible via two identical vestibule doors (door threshold outdoors 2 cm, indoors threshold-free).
  • The reception counter is 118 cm high. There is another, equivalent communication possibility while sitting.
  • All passageways/doors are at least 69 cm wide.
  • All rooms that can be used by the guest can be reached steplessly or via ramps (door thresholds of max. 3 cm).
  • There are wheelchair accessible tables in the dining room.

Room no. 101 and 102 with washbasin (double bedroom)

  • The identical rooms no. 101 and 102 each have their own washbasins. Shower and toilet for people with disabilities are located in the separate public sanitary room (see below).
  • The maneuvering spaces in front of essential, immobile furnishings in both rooms are at least 150 cm x 150 cm.
  • In room no. 101 the maneuvering space to the right of the bed is 93 cm x 210 cm, to the left the bed stands next to the wall.
  • In room no. 102 the maneuvering space to the left of the bed is 99 cm x 210 cm, to the right the bed stands next to the wall.
  • The beds are 46 cm high and wheelchair accessible.
  • There are no nursing beds in both rooms.
  • The maneuvering space in front of the washbasin is at least 150 cm x 150 cm.
  • The washbasin has limited wheelchair access.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.

Public sanitary room with shower and toilet/public toilet for people with disabilities (accessible only to house guests)

  • The height of the threshold is 3 cm.
  • The maneuvering spaces are:
    in front of the sink 127 cm x 180 cm;
    in front of the toilet 180 cm x 127 cm
    to the right of the toilet 109 cm x 53 cm, the toilet cannot be accessed from the left.
  • There are handles on both sides of the toilet, the right handle can be folded up.
  • The washbasin has limited wheelchair access.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • The shower area at ground level is 110 cm x 165 cm. There are grab handles and a shower chair/shower seat.

  • Assistance dogs are allowed.
  • The main entrance is not visually contrasted to the surroundings. There is a tactile perceptible change of floor covering.
  • Outdoor staircases do not have high-contrast step surfaces. Indoor staircases have visually contrasting and tactilely detectable step surfaces. Handrails are mostly present.
  • Rooms and corridors are brightly lit and glare-free.
  • Operating elements and paths are tactilely detectable almost everywhere and are predominantly visually rich in contrast. The walls can be used almost everywhere as an orientation guideline.
  • Braille is not available.
  • There are no obstacles, e.g. objects protruding into the path/room.
  • Indoors and outdoors there is no guidance system (e.g. floor indicators).

  • There is no visual alarm.
  • There is no audio induction loop.
  • Information for orientation is provided in written form.
  • In the evaluated rooms, there is no freely available outlet near the bed.
  • WiFi is available in the public areas.
  • In the dining room there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, where there are no lamps that restrict the field of vision. There are no seating areas with low background noises.

  • The name and logo of the company are clearly visible from the outside at the main entrance.
  • The destination of the path is usually within sight. There are no path signs.
  • A brochure with the address and telephone number of the youth hostel is displayed at the reception.
  • There is no information in easy language or photorealistic representation.
  • There is no menu. The dishes are not presented visibly.
