Discover the charm of the Inselhalle-Lindau: a venue with a breathtaking lake location and modern technology - perfect for conferences, concerts and events of all kinds.

This charming venue is located on the picturesque island of Lindau. In addition to its idyllic location, the Inselhalle offers special amenities for people with disabilities. The event areas are fully accessible and have a passenger lift with acoustic announcement. The main entrance is accessible via a lift or ramp. In addition, the hall is equipped with special pathways for the blind and visually impaired as well as toilets suitable for the disabled. In front of the Inselhalle, the Therese-von-Bayern-Platz is equipped with guide plates to enable visually impaired people to find their way safely. In order to make the event as pleasant as possible for our guests with impairments, hearing-impaired loops are partially installed in the rooms. In addition, depending on the event, seating is marked for visually, hearing and walking impaired visitors. Parking spaces for the disabled are available in the multi-storey car park opposite.

  • There are ten parking spaces for people with disabilities. One parking space is at least 350 cm wide and 500 cm long.
  • The parking space is 100 m from the entrance.
  • The entrance/access to the building is step-free (max. 2 cm threshold, via a lift ). 
  • The platform of the lift is 118 cm wide and 200 cm deep.
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used and raised for the guest are accessible without steps or via an elevator.
  • The elevator car is 109 cm x 210 cm.
  • Passages and doors are at least 90 cm wide. 
  • The ticket counter is 86 cm high at the lowest point.

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the sink 172 cm x 166 cm;
    in front of the toilet 166 cm x 172 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 98 cm x 69 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 97 cm x 69 cm.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.
  • Both grab rails can be flipped-up. 
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • There is a cord as an alarm trigger.

Toilet for people with disabilities - men (basement)

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the sink 172 cm x 166 cm;
    in front of the toilet 166 cm x 172 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 96 cm x 69 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 100 cm x 69 cm.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.
  • Both grab rails can be flipped-up. 
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • There is a cord as an alarm trigger.

Toilet for people with disabilities (ground floor)

  • There is a unisex toilet available.
  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the sink 180 cm x 183 cm;
    in front of the toilet 183 cm x 180 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 101 cm x 69 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 101 cm x 69 cm.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.
  • Both grab rails can be flipped-up. 
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • There is a cord as an alarm trigger.

  • Assistance dogs (companion dogs, guide dogs for the blind, etc.) may be brought into all relevant areas/rooms of the establishment/offerings. 
  • The entrance area is recognisable by a tactilely perceptible change of flooring and visually contrasting with the surroundings. 
  • There are glass doors with no safety markings at a height of 40-70 cm and 120-160 cm.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the lift is confirmed acoustically, e.g. by an intercom system. The operating elements in the lift are designed to be visually contrasting and tactilely detectable. The stopping position is announced by voice.
  • Stairs have handrails on both sides. 
  • There are floor indicators in the interior and exterior areas. 
  • All raised areas that can be used by the guest (entrance area, cash desk/counter, bedrooms, corridors, hallways) are well lit, i.e. bright and glare-free.
  • The signage is designed in easily legible lettering. There is a good visual contrast between the lettering/pictogram and the background.

  • In the event of an alarm (e.g. fire alarm), there is no visually clearly perceptible alarm.
