Description

Use the Jennerbahn for a barrier-free mountain experience and visit our highest national park information point. In good weather, you have the opportunity to observe marmots or golden eagles with a spotting scope.

  • There is a bus stop at the valley station 100 m away. There is a longitudinal incline of max. 7 % over 20 m on the way to the valley station. 
  • There are two parking spaces for people with disabilities at the Jennerbahnstrasse car park (above the valley station), 120 m from the entrance. One parking space is at least 350 cm wide and 700 cm long.

  • Access to the building of the summit station is step-free.
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used by guests and are raised are accessible without steps or via a lift. Door thresholds are max. 2 cm high. 
  • Lift cars are at least 137 cm x 240. Lift doors are at least 129 cm wide.
  • Passages and doors are at least 90 cm wide. 
  • The observation deck is accessible via a ramp and an outside walkway. The ramp has a maximum longitudinal slope of 8 %. The outside path has a longitudinal slope of 19 %. 
  • The exhibits of the Berchtesgaden National Park Information Centre are mainly visible, perceptible or recognisable while sitting. Most of the information on the exhibits can be read while sitting down.

Public WC (UG mountain station)

  • The toilet door can be opened with a Euro key.
  • The manoeuvring spaces are:  
    in front of the washbasin 147 cm x 167 cm;
    in front of the toilet 167 cm x 147 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 167 cm x 70 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 72 cm x 70 cm.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet .
  • Both grab rails can be flipped-up. 
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible. 
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting. 
  • There is a cord as an alarm trigger.

  • Assistance dogs (companion dogs, guide dogs for the blind, etc.) may be brought into all relevant areas/rooms of the establishment/offerings. 
  • The entrance area is recognisable by a tactilely perceptible change of flooring. 
  • There are glass doors with no safety markings at a height of 40-70 cm and 120-160 cm. 
  • There are no visually contrasting or tactilely detectable floor indicators. 
  • All raised areas that can be used by guests (entrance area, cash desk/counter, bedrooms, corridors, hallways) are well lit, i.e. bright and glare-free.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the lift is confirmed acoustically, e.g. by an intercom system.
  • Stairs have at least one handrail on one side. 
  • The exhibits of the Berchtesgaden National Park Information Centre are predominantly designed with high contrast and are generally well lit. 
  • The exhibit signage is visually high-contrast. 
  • The signage for orientation (signposting) is designed in easily legible lettering.
