All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility certified - accessible for people with walking disabilities and partially accessible for wheelchair users".

Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.

  • There are three marked parking spaces for people with disabilities in the garage (parking space size: 520 cm x 590 cm). The parking spaces are assigned to the guests as required.
  • The path from the garage to the entrance is approx. 30 m long and easy to walk and drive on.
  • The next bus stop is 300 m away.
  • The hotel is steplessly accessible via a treshold of 3 cm. The conference area is steplessly accessible via a treshold of 2 cm.
  • All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are stepless or accessible via a ramp, wheelchair lift or an elevator.
  • The ramp in the basement of the hotel and in the conference area (access to garage) has a maximum gradient of 3.5 % and a total length of 175 -178 m.
  • The platform of the wheelchair lift is 89 cm x 150 cm.
  • The elevator cabin in the hotel as well as the conference area measures 112 cm x 140 cm.
  • All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 90 cm wide.
  • The reception desk is 79 cm high at its lowest point. There is another, equivalent communication possibility while in a sitting position.
  • There are approx. 15 wheelchair accessible tables in the breakfast room (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).

Room No. 20 (double bedroom/ 1st floor)

  • There is a connecting door to another room. 
  • The maneuvering spaces are:
    in front of essential immobile furnishings (e.g. wardrobe) at least 150 cm x 150 cm; 
    left of the bed at least 150 cm x 150 cm; 
    right of the bed 93 cm x 184 cm.
  • The bed is 57 cm high.
  • The left bed is adjustable.
  • The maneuvering spaces in the bathroom are: 
    in front of the toilet and the washbasin at least 150 cm x 150 cm; 
    right of the toilet at least 90 cm x 70 cm, no maneuvering space on the left.
  • There are handles which can be folded up on the right and left of the toilet.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair accessible.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • The shower is accessible without thresholds.
  • The maneuvering space in the shower is at least 150 cm x 150 cm.
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if required.
  • There are grab handles in the shower.
  • An alarm trigger is not present.

Room No. 21 (double bedroom / 1st floor)

  • The maneuvering spaces are: 
    in front of essential immobile furnishings (e.g. wardrobe) at least 150 cm x 150 cm; 
    left of the bed 122 cm x 184 cm; 
    right of the bed 203 cm x 184 cm;
  • The bed is 53 cm high.
  • The maneuvering spaces in the bathroom are: 
    in front of the toilet and the washbasin at least 150 cm x 150 cm; 
    left of the toilet at least 90 cm x 70 cm, no maneuvering space on the right.
  • There are handles which can be folded up on the right and left of the toilet.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair accessible.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • The shower is accessible without thresholds.
  • The maneuvering space in the shower is 160 cm x 160 cm.
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if required.
  • There are grab handles in the shower.
  • An alarm trigger is not present.

Room No. 10 (double bedroom / ground floor)

  • The maneuvering spaces are: 
    in front of essential immobile furnishings (e.g. wardrobe) at least 150 cm x 150 cm; 
    left of the bed at least 140 cm x 150 cm;
    right of the bed at least 90 cm x 70 cm.
  • The bed is 54 cm high.
  • The maneuvering spaces in the bathroom are: 
    in front of/behind the door, in front of the toilet and the washbasin at least 150 cm x 150 cm; 
    right of the toilet at least 90 cm x 70 cm,
    no maneuvering space on the left.
  • There are handles which can be folded up on the right and left of the toilet.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair accessible.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • The shower is accessible without thresholds.
  • The maneuvering space in the shower is at least 150 cm x 150 cm.
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if required.

Public toilet for people with disabilities (Hotel area, 1st floor)

  • The maneuvering spaces are: 
    in front of the toilet as well as in front of the washbasin at least 126 cm x 170 cm; 
    right of the toilet 106 cm x 71 cm, no maneuvering space on the left.
  • There are handles which can be folded up on the right and left of the toilet.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair accessible.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • An alarm trigger is present.

Public toilet for people with disabilities (conference area, 3rd floor)

  • The maneuvering spaces are: 
    in front of the toilet and the washbasin at least 150 cm x 145 cm; 
    left of the toilet 93 cm x 71 cm and right of the toilet 79 cm x 71 cm.
  • There are handles which can be folded up on the right and left of the toilet.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair accessible.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • An alarm trigger is present.

  • Assistance dogs are allowed in relevant areas/rooms.
  • The entrances are not visually rich in contrast, but recognizable by a tactile change of floor covering.
  • All evaluated areas usable by the guest are well illuminated, i.e. bright and glare-free.
  • The signage is designed in clearly legible and contrasting font.
  • There are glass doors without safety markings at a height of 40-70 cm and 120-160 cm.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly.
  • The stopping position is not announced by spoken commands.
  • The operating controls are not visually rich in contrast and not tactilely detectable.
  • Alternatively stairs are available.
  • Stairs partly have visually contrasting edges at the first and last step.
  • Steps are partly not visually rich in contrast.
  • Stairs have at least a handrail on one side.

  • There is no clearly visible alarm.
  • There is an audio induction loop at the counter.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly.
  • In the breakfast room there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps standing or hanging that restrict the field of vision or eye contact.
  • There is no seating area with low background noises (e.g. seating corner, separate room).

Room 10 / 20 / 21  (double bedroom)

  • There is at least one electrical outlet available near the bed.
  • WiFi is offered.
