Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.

  • The Lorenzkirche underground stop and the Haller Tor bus and tram stop are approx. 300 m from the hotel.
  • There are two marked parking spaces for people with disabilities in the undergrounde car park (parking space size: 340 cm x 525 cm).
  • Main and siede entrance are steplessly accessible.
  • All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are steplessly accessible at ground level or via elevators. 
  • The lift cabin in lift 1 (in the lobby at the main entrance) is 98 cm x 211 cm. 
  • The lift cabin in lifts 2 and 3 (at the side entrance, identical in construction) is 100 cm x 211 cm. 
  • The lift cabin in the lift to the underground car park is 101 cm x 210 cm.
  • Almost all evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 88 cm wide.
    Exception: The sauna door is 74 cm wide.
  • The reception desk is 116 cm high. 
  • There are wheelchair accessible tables available in the restaurant (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).  

Barrier-free apartement 218 (2nd floor, double room)

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of/behind the door and in front of essential stationary furnishings (e.g. wardrobe) at least 150 cm x 150 cm;
    left of the bed 87 cm x 200 cm, right of the bed 200 cm x 200 cm. 
  • The bed is 61 cm high.
  • The dining table in the apartement is wheelchair compatible (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).
  • The kitchen counter, the sink and the stove are not wheelchair compatible. 
  • The manoeuvring spaces in the bathroom are:
    in front of/behind the door, in front of the toilet and the washbasin at least 150 cm x 150 cm;
    left and right of the toilet at least 90 cm x 70 cm. 
  • There are grab rails available on the right and left of the toilet. The grab rail on the right of the toilet can be flipped-up. 
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • The shower is accessible without thresholds.
  • The manoeuvring space in the shower is 160 cm x 200 cm. 
  • A shower seat is not available or can be provided if required.
  • There are grab rails available in the shower.
  • An alarm trigger is available. 

Superior Bedroom 230 (2nd floor, double room)

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of/behind the door 200 cm x 117 cm;
    in front of essential stationary furnishings (e.g. wardrobe) 200 cm x 145 cm;
    left of the bed 80 cm x 200 cm, right of the bed 45 cm x 200 cm. 
  • The bed is 61 cm high.
  • The manoeuvring spaces in the bathroom are: in front of/behind the door, in front of the toilet and the washbasin at least 150 cm x 150 cm; left of the toilet  130 cm x 70 cm, right of the toilet 30 cm x 70 cm.
  •  The bathroom is not designed for people with disabilities (very small manoeuvring spaces, no grab rails, etc.). 

Public toilet for people with disabilities (ground floor)

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of/behind the door, in front of the toilet and in front of the washbasin at least 150 cm x 150 cm;
    left and right of the toilet at least 70 cm x 70 cm. 
  • There are grab rails available on the right and left of the toilet. The grab rails can be flipped-up.
  • The sink has access.  
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • An alarm trigger is available.

  • Assistance dogs are allowed (35 euros per night and dog).
  • The entrance is visually rich in contrast.
  • All evaluated and usable areas for the guest are well illuminated, i.e. bright and glare-free. 
  • There are no visually contrasting or tactilely detectable floor indicators available.
  • There are glass doors without safety markings.
  • The signage is not designed in clearly legible and contrasting font.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevators is confirmed audibly. The break position in the lift underground car park is announced by spoken commands. The operating controls are mostly visually rich in contrast and tactilely detectable.
  • Alternatively stairs are available.
  • The steps are not visually contrasting.
  • Stairs have handrails on both sides. 
  • Information is not available in Braille or prismatic font.

  • There is no clearly visible alarm. 
  • There is no audio induction loop. 
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly. 
  • Alternatively stairs are available. 
  • In the restaurant and in the cafe there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps standing or hanging that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact.
  • There is a no seating area with low background noises (e.g. corner seating, separate room). 
  • There is at least one electrical outlet available near the bed.
  • Free wifi is offered.
