Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.

  • There is one marked parking space for people with disabilities (parking space size: 260 cm x 500 cm). The surface quality of the car park is easy to walk and drive on.
  • The path from the car park to the main entrance is 8 m long. It is easy to walk and drive on and has a maximum longitudinal gradient of 2 % over a distance of 8 m.
  • The bus stop "Steingass" is 100 m away.
  • The path from the bus stop to the entrance is 100 m long. It is partially not easy to walk and drive on and has a maximum longitudinal gradient of 2 % over a distance of 20 m.
  • The path from the main entrance to the restaurant is 17 m long. It is easy to walk and drive on and has a maximum longitudinal gradient of 7 % over a distance of 3 m.
  • The building is steplessly accessible via the main entrance (treshold of 1 cm).
  • The guesthouse with breakfast room (main house) is steplessly accessible (treshold of 1,5 cm).
  • All evaluated rooms and facilities to the guests are accessible at ground level or via an elevator.
  • The elevator cabin in the "Haus Altmühlaue" measures 110 cm x 140 cm. The elevator door is 90 cm wide.
  • Almost all evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 90 cm wide. Exception: the doors to the bathrooms 137 and 138 are 80 cm wide.
  • The reception desk is 72 cm high at its lowest point.
  • There are wheelchair accessible tables in the restaurant and in the breakfast room (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).

Room 137 (double bedroom/1st upper floor)

  • The maneuvering spaces are:
    in front of essential immobile furnishings (e.g. wardrobe) 200 cm x 138 cm;
    left of the bed 200 cm x 170 cm; right of the bed 103 cm x 170 cm.
  • The maneuvering spaces in the bathroom are:
    in front of/behind the door and in front of the toilet 105 cm x 157 cm; in front of the washbasin 300 cm x 123 cm;
    left of the toilet 45 cm x 70 cm and right of the toilet 90 cm x 70 cm.
  • There are handles which can be folded up on the right and left of the toilet.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair accessible.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • The shower is accessible without thresholds.
  • The maneuvering space in the shower is 160 cm x 120 cm.
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if required.
  • There are horizontally mounted grab handles in the shower.
  • An alarm trigger (cord, button) is not present.

Room 138 (double bedroom/1st upper floor)

  • The maneuvering spaces are:
    in front of essential immobile furnishings (e.g. wardrobe) 200 cm x 200 cm;
    left of the bed 200 cm x 170 cm; right of the bed 66 cm x 170 cm.
  • The bed is 52 cm high.
  • The maneuvering spaces in the bathroom are:
    in front of/behind the door 120 cm x 200 cm; in front of the toilet 200 cm x 105 cm; in front of the washbasin 200 cm x 120 cm;
    right of the toilet at least 90 cm x 70 cm, no maneuvering space on the left.
  • There are handles which can be folded up on the right and left of the toilet.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair accessible.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • The shower is accessible without thresholds.
  • The maneuvering space in the shower is 160 cm x 120 cm.
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if required.
  • There are horizontally mounted grab handles in the shower.
  • An alarm trigger (cord, button) is not present.

Public toilet for people with disabilities (in the restaurant)

  • The toilet door can be opened with a key.
  • The maneuvering spaces are:
    in front of/behind the door 98 cm x 160 cm; in front of the toilet 98 cm x 126 cm; in front of the washbasin 170 cm x 98 cm;
    right of the toilet 82 cm x 70 cm, no maneuvering space on the left.
  • There is a handle which can be folded up on the right and left side of the toilet.
  • The washbasin has limited wheelchair access.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • An alarm trigger (cord, button) is not present.

  • Assistance dogs are not allowed in the establishment.
  • Outdoor paths do not have visually contrasting or tactilely detectable sidewalk boundaries.
  • The entrance is visually rich in contrast.
  • The evaluated areas that can be used by the guest are well lit, i.e. bright and glare-free.
  • The signage is designed in clearly legible and contrasting font.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly. The stopping position is not announced by spoken commands. The operating controls are visually rich in contrast and tactilely detectable. Alternatively stairs are available. 
  • Steps are not visually rich in contrast. Stairs have handrails on both sides.
  • The menu font in the restaurant is straightforward and visually rich in contrast. There is no menu in large print or Braille.
  • Information is not available in Braille or prismatic writing.

  • There is no clearly visible alarm.
  • There is no audio induction loop.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly. Alternatively stairs are available.
  • In the restaurant and breakfast room there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps standing or hanging that restrict the field of vision or eye contact. 

Room 137 and 138 (double bedroom)

  • There is at least one electrical outlet available near the bed.
  • The ringing or knocking on the door is not indicated by a flashing signal which can be perceived in all rooms.
  • WiFi is offered.

  • The name or logo of the hotel is clearly recognizable from the outside.
  • The destinations of the paths are usually within sight.
  • There is no colored or pictorial guidance system.
  • A business card with the address and telephone number of the hotel is visibly displayed at the reception desk.
  • There is no menu with pictures and the dishes are not visibly presented (buffet, bar).
  • There is no information in easy language. Information is not displayed with pictograms or pictures.
