Surrounded by the Allgäu Alps and lakes, the Luitpoldpark Hotel is located in the middle of the city of Füssen. Only 3 minutes walk to the old town, 2 km to the Festspielhaus and 4 km to the world famous royal castles Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. In the summer months the ideal starting point for cyclists and mountain hikers and in winter for cross-country skiers and winter hikers. The Luitpoldpark Hotel convinces not only with the excellent location, but also the friendliness and competence of the staff.

  • There are 2 marked parking spaces for people with disabilities in the underground car park (parking space size: 345 cm x 500 cm).
  • The path from the car park to the hotel lobby is 6 m long.
  • The train station with bus stops is 200 m away.
  • The building is steplessly accessible.
  • All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are steplessly accessible at ground level, via ramps or elevators.
  • The ramp between entrance to the lobby has a maximum gradient of 19,6 % and a total length of 4 m.
  • The ramp to the wellness area has a maximum gradient of 9.5 % and a total length of 3 m.
  • The elevator cabin (left) measures 108 cm x 140 cm. The elevator door is 80 cm wide.
  • The lift to the underground car park is 97 cm x 116 cm. The lift door is 80 cm wide.
  • Almost all evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 90 cm wide.
    Exception: Room door 335 with 80 cm, bathroom door with 68 cm width, in the wellness area the doors are from 60 cm to 84 cm wide.
  • The reception desk is 115 cm high. There is another, equivalent communication possibility while in a sitting position.
  • There are wheelchair accessible tables available in the restaurant (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).

Room 230 (double room, 2nd upper floor)

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of essential stationary furnishings (e.g. wardrobe) 250 cm x 106 cm;
    left of the bed 79 cm x 200 cm; right of the bed 200 cm x 200 cm.
  • The bed is 52 cm high.
  • The manoeuvring spaces in the bathroom are:
    in front of the toilet and in front of the washbasin 186 cm x 136 cm;
    left of the toilet 47 cm x 54 cm and right of the toilet 97 cm x54 cm.
  • There is a grab rail on the left side of the toilet. The grab rail can be flipped-up.
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting. 
  • The shower is not steplessly variable (treshold of 7 cm).
  • The manoeuvring space in the shower is 84 cm x 160 cm.
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if required.
  • There are grab rails available in the shower.
  • An alarm trigger is not available.

Room 335 (double room, 3nd upper floor)

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of essential stationary furnishings (e.g. wardrobe) at least 150 cm x 150 cm;
    left and right of the bed at least 150 cm x 210 cm.
  • The bed is 59 cm high.
  • The bathroom is not designed for people with disabilities (very small manoeuvring spaces, no grab rails, etc.).

Public toilet for people with disabilities (ground floor)

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the toilet and in front of the washbasin 182 cm x 130 cm;
    right of the toilet at least 90 cm x 70 cm, no manoeuvring space on the left.
  • There are grab rails available on the right and left of the toilet. The grab rail on the right of the toilet can be flipped-up.
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • An alarm trigger is available.

  • The menu font in the restaurant is not straightforward and visually rich in contrast.
