Glass museum Frauenau with information point Bavarian Forest National Park and Tourist Information Office

Description

The State Glass Museum is located on the edge of the Bavarian Forest National Park in the town of Frauenau, which is characterised by a centuries-old glassmaking tradition. In an exhibition that can also be seen and experienced sitting down, it takes its visitors on a journey through the cultural history of glass. Numerous glass exhibits and listening stations complement these.

In the foyer of the building you will find the tourist information of the village as well as a cafeteria with a small selection of food.

In addition, the museum houses a national park information centre with information about the habitats of shafts and felts. Short films and audio stations are integrated into the permanent exhibition.
