All test relevant areas meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility tested - partially barrier-free for people with walking disabilities".

Some information on accessibility are listed below. Detailed information can be found in the test report.

  • There is a general car park. The three parking spaces for people with disabilities are not marked (parking space size: 400 cm x 500 cm; distance to the side entrance: 10 m, to the main entrance: 80 m). The side entrance is closed at night, in that case the main entrance on the other side of the car park has to be used.
  • The car park and the outdoor paths are difficult to walk and drive on due ot their surface conditions. The paths to the side entrance has a gradient of 8 % over a distance of 1 m.
  • The main entrance is only accessible via 2 steps in the indoor area. Alternatively, there is a stepless side entrance (threshold 2.5 cm).
  • The reception counter is 119 cm high. There is no alternative communication possibility while sitting.
  • All passageways/doors are at least 90 cm wide (some have thresholds up to 2.5 cm high).
  • All evaluated areas usable by the guest are at ground level, accessible by ramp or elevator.
  • The elevator cab measures 100 cm x 138 cm. The passage width of the elevator door is 85 cm. There is no horizontal control panel (height of the control buttons 94 cm to 103 cm).
  • In the restaurant/breakfast room on the ground floor and on the 1st floor there are wheelchair accessible tables.

Room 11 with sanitary room (double bedroom) on the 1st floor

  • The manoeuvring space in front of essential immobile furnishings is 200 cm x 400 cm.
  • The manoeuvring spaces to the left of the bed are 240 cm x 210 cm, to the right 170 cm x 210 cm.
  • The bed is 62 cm high and not wheelchair accessible.
  • In the sanitary room the manoeuvring spaces are:
    • at the door, in front of the toilet and the washbasin at least 150 cm x 150 cm; 
    • left of the toilet 53 cm x 54 cm, right 41 cm x 54 cm.
  • On the left side of the toilet there is a handle which can be folded up. On the right there is no handle.
  • The washbasin has limited wheelchair access. The mirror cannot be seen while sitting.
  • The shower area at ground level is 100 cm x 247 cm. There is a horizontal grab handle is available, but no shower chair.

Room 12 with sanitary room (double bedroom) on the 1st floor

  • The manoeuvring space in front of essential, immobile furnishings is at least 150 cm x 150 cm.
  • The manoeuvring spaces to the left of the bed are 145 cm x 210 cm, to the right 95 cm x 210 cm.
  • The bed is 62 cm high and not wheelchair accessible.
  • The door to the sanitary room opens inwards.
  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    • at the door, in front of the toilet and the washbasin at least 150 cm x 150 cm;
    • to the left and right of the toilet there are no manoeuvring spaces.
  • There are no handles on the toilet.
  • The washbasin has limited wheelchair access. The mirror cannot be seen while sitting.
  • The shower area at ground level is 90 cm x 190 cm. There is no shower chair and no grab handle.

Public toilet for people with disabilities on the 1st floor

  • The door opens to the side (sliding door).
  • In the sanitary room the manoeuvring spaces are:
    • at the door 132 cm x 194 cm;
    • in front of the toilet 88 cm x 170 cm;
    • in front of the washbasin at least 150 cm x 150 cm;
    • left of the toilet 31 cm x 54 cm, right 104 cm x 54 cm.
  • On the right of the toilet there is a handle which can be folded up. On the left of the toilet the handle is attached to the wall.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair accessible. The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.

  • Assistance dogs are allowed.
  • The main entrance is visually rich in contrast and can be recognized by a tactile change of floor covering. Directly behind the entrance door there are two low-contrast steps with handrail.
  • Glass doors are usually not marked with safety markings.
  • There are no obstacles, e.g. objects protruding into the path/room.
  • Operating elements are partially tactile and high in contrast everywhere.
  • Paths in corridors are visually rich in contrast everywhere and marked with tactile markings. The walls can be used for orientation.
  • Indoors there is no guidance system with floor indicators.
  • The evaluated rooms and corridors usable for the guest, the elevator and stairs are brightly lit and glare-free.
  • An emergency call is confirmed acoustically in the elevator. The stopping position is not announced by speech. The operating elements and the signage are rich in contrast and can be detected tactilely. Braille is available.
  • Stairs have handrails. On the staircase from the ground floor to the 2nd floor there is a visual and tactile contrast between the floor covering and the stairways. At least the first and last step have visually high-contrast edges.
  • There is no information in Braille or prismatic writing.
  • The menu in the restaurants is designed in plain, high-contrast font, but is not available in Braille or large print.
  • Aids offered: reading aids (reading glasses, magnifying glasses, etc.)

  • In the case of an acoustic alarm, there is no visually perceptible flashing light or flashing signal.
  • There is no audio induction loop.
  • In the elevator, an emergency call is confirmed acoustically, but not optically. Alternatively, stairs are available.
  • In the evaluated rooms there is at least one freely available outlet near the bed.
  • The ringing at the room doors is not indicated by a flashing signal.
  • WiFi and a fax machine are available for communication.
  • In the restaurant/breakfast room on the ground floor and on the 1st floor there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting on which there are no lamps standing or hanging that restrict the field of vision. There are seating areas with low background noises.
  • Information is provided in written form.

  • The name and logo of the company are clearly visible from the outside at the main entrance.
  • A business card with the address and telephone number of the hotel is visibly displayed at the reception desk.
  • There is no menu with pictures in the restaurants. The dishes are not presented visibly.
  • Information for orientation is displayed in photorealistic representation or in the form of pictograms.
  • There is no colored or pictorial guidance system.
  • The destination of the path is within sight or there is an uninterrupted guidance system.
