Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report. 

  • The "FrankenCare" bus stop is 150 metres away.
  • There are two parking spaces for people with disabilities 100 metres from the entrance.  One parking space is at least 300 cm wide and 550 cm long.
  • The spa is steplessly accessible via a ramp. The ramp has a maximum gradient of 9% over a length of 9 metres. 
  • Almost all rooms and facilities that can be used by guests and are elevated are accessible at ground level or via a lift (exception: slide, pool).
  • The lift cabin is 108 cm x 140 cm. The lift door is 90 cm wide.
  • Passages and doors are at least 80 cm wide.
  • The counter is 98 cm high. An equivalent seated alternative is available.
  • The manoeuvring spaces in the changing rooms are at least 150 cm x 150 cm. 
  • External paths are at least 150 cm wide and have a maximum longitudinal gradient of 12%.
  • In the catering area, wheelchair accessible tables (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm with a depth of 30 cm) are available.

Swimming-pool

  • To enter the large indoor pool and the whirlpool, there is a raised pool edge at seat height above the pool surround.
  • Access to the outdoor pool is via a staircase in the indoor area or a ladder in the outdoor area (handrails available for both).
  • The medicinal water lake is accessible via flat steps with a handrail and a ladder with a handrail.
  • There are flat steps with handrails to access the front pool in the children's area. The rear pool has a raised pool edge at seat height above the pool surround.
  • The pool in the sauna garden has flat steps with a handrail.
  • In the Arjo pool in the wellness area, there is a ladder with a handrail and a passenger 

Sauna area

  • In the Finnish dry sauna, there are manoeuvring spaces of 200 cm x 127 cm in front of the lower bench. 
  • In the Finnish sauna, there are manoeuvring spaces of 150 cm x 110 cm in front of the lower bench. 
  • In the stone sauna, there are 130 cm x 90 cm manoeuvring spaces in front of the lower bench. 
  • In the bio sauna, there are manoeuvring spaces of 150 cm x 54 cm in front of the lower bench. 
  • In the mill sauna, there are manoeuvring spaces of 200 cm x 200 cm in front of the lower bench. 
  • In the brewery sauna, there are manoeuvring spaces of 160 cm x 200 cm in front of the lower bench. 
  • The outdoor showers in the sauna area are steplessly accessible.
  • The shower area is 200 cm x 200 cm.

Toilet for people with disabilities at the restaurant (1st floor)

  • The door is at least 93 cm wide.
  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the sink 200 cm x 120 cm;
    in front of the toilet 120 cm x 200 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 66 cm x 55 cm;
    68 cm x 55 cm to the right of the toilet.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.
  • The grab rails can be flipped-up. 
  • The sink is wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of less than 30 cm.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.

  • Assistance dogs are only permitted in the foyer and in the conference rooms.
  • The entrance is visually contrasted to the surroundings.
  • There are no floor indicators indoors or outdoors.
  • The 1st floor (restaurant, banqueting hall) can be reached by elevator. The stopping position is not announced by speech. An emergency call is confirmed acoustically. There are stairs at the entrance and in the interior. Most of these are not visually or tactilely contrasted.
  • In the swimming and sauna area of the Therme there are often obstacles caused by objects protruding into the path/room (loungers, decorative objects).
  • In the saunas there are coat hooks near the sauna doors.
  • In the catering areas there are menus with plain and high-contrast writing.
  • Signs are available in easily legible, high-contrast writing.
  • Swimming-pool edges are visually rich in contrast.
  • There is no information in Braille or prismatic lettering.

  • There is no audio induction loop system at the checkout.
  • There is no clearly perceptible visual alarm. 
  • There are tables with bright and glare-free lighting in the catering areas.
  • There are tables where there are no lamps standing or hanging that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact.
  • In the bistro in the sauna area, there are also seating areas with low ambient noise levels.
  • The ballroom and restaurant on the 1st floor can be reached by stairs or lift. In the lift, an emergency call is confirmed acoustically but not visually.

  • The cash desk is directly recognisable from the entrance.
