Vacation apartment "Zum Schlafwandler Kapper

Description

The Franconian Lake District is suitable for all vacationers. Thus, the handbiker will find flat but also challenging routes and the bathing friend will find wheelchair accessible entrances, e.g. in the small Brombachsee.

The family-friendly vacation apartment "Zum Schlafwandler Kapper" is located in the immediate vicinity of the lakes Altmühlsee and Brombachsee in the Altmühltal Nature Park. The apartment is accessible without thresholds via a short flat ramp. The apartment has a kitchenette with a sink and cooking hob that can be moved underneath and a bed height of 58 cm. A fixed shower seat is available, the shower in the bathroom is accessible, grab bars are installed and the washbasins are accessible.  The width of the doors is 94 cm. The breakfast room is also accessible without thresholds.

  • The bus stop "Gundelsheim an der Altmühl Mitte" is about 150 m away.
  • There is a parking space for people with disabilities. A parking space is at least 350 cm wide and 600 cm long.
  • The parking space is 10 m from the entrance.
  • The entrance/access to the building is step-free (max. 2 cm threshold, via a ramp).  
  • The ramp has a maximum gradient of 7.5 %, a width of 120 cm and a total length of 6 m.
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used and raised for the guest are accessible without steps. Door thresholds are max. 2 cm high. 
  • Passages and doors are at least 90 cm wide. 
  • In the breakfast room there are four tables that can be moved underneath (maximum height 80 cm, can be moved underneath at a height of 67 cm with a depth of 30 cm). 
  • The (dining) table in the kitchen-cum-living-room is wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm with a depth of 30 cm.
  • The following aids are offered: Nursing bed, mobile support table, shower stool, gallows.

Two-bed room

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:  
    in front of essential furnishings (e.g. cupboards) 200 cm x 200 cm;
    to the left of the bed 138 cm x 200 cm;
    138 cm x 200 cm to the right of the bed.
  • The bed is 57 cm high.

Bathroom

  • The manoeuvring spaces in the bathroom are
    in front of the washbasin 200 cm x 200 cm;
    in front of the toilet 200 cm x 170 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 33 cm x 70 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 90 cm x 70 cm.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.
  • The right grab rail can be flipped-up.
  • The washbasin is accessible from underneath at a height of 67 cm and a depth of at least 30 cm.
  • The mirror can be viewed while sitting or standing.
  • The shower is accessible without steps. 
  • The shower area is 150 cm x 150 cm.
  • Grab rails are provided in the shower.
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if required (permanently installed, foldable, hook-in or mobile and stable).
