Dragon cave Furth im Wald

Description

An experience you can't miss! Furth im Wald has had a high-tech kite since 2010. The largest walking robot in the world. The dragon lives in the dragon cave from April to October.

In the dragon cave you will get information about the history of dragons in Furth im Wald, the folk play "Der Drachenstich", as well as about the technology of the largest 4-legged walking robot (with entry in Guinness Book of Records), before you finally arrive in the dragon cave. There you will come face to face with the dragon. During a "Moving Dragon" guided tour, you will be amazed at the natural movements as the dragon walks toward you. The dragon can smile at you, but also grimly snarl at you and look angry. And when the monster then hurls meter-long bursts of fire at you, it means - keep your distance! Directly at the cave there are two marked parking spaces for people with disabilities. The entrance area is well marked and the entrance is accessible without steps. There is plenty of seating inside the cave and on the grounds outside. Information and exhibits are well lit and legible in the Dragon's Cave. Audio guides are available free of charge. Guided tours for people with walking disabilities and wheelchair users are available on request and by appointment.
