The Glass Gardens of Frauenau
Description
Internationally renowned artists from eight European countries have impressively designed the extensive area of the Glass Gardens with their monumental works made of glass and other materials. Poetry, transparency and spatial experience, image and reality merge in these projects to create a special experience.
On a total of 20,000 square meters of landscaped areas surrounding the Glass Museum, on the grounds of the Poschinger and Eisch glassworks and on the Flanitz floodplain, the world's first glass sculpture park has been created with 31 installations by both internationally renowned and regionally prominent artists. The walk through the Glass Gardens shows the almost infinite artistic design possibilities with the material glass. Fascinating on top: Every season, the sculpture park presents itself differently. It is open all year round, admission is free.
