Chiemsee River-Navigation

Description

As if painted, the Chiemsee, the islands, the mountains. Let yourself drift, up on the steamer, out to the islands, over to Herrenchiemsee Castle. Affectionately known as the Bavarian Sea, Chiemsee is the largest lake in Bavaria.  Its area is 800 square kilometers, its circumference about 64 km and the greatest depth 73.4 m.

Pier Prien

  • There are four marked parking spaces for people with disabilities (parking space size: 350 cm x 500 cm).
  • The bus stop „Stock / Minigolfplatz“ is 200 m away.
  • The cash desk is at its lowest point 104 cm high.
    Tickets can also be bought on the ship.
  • All evaluated areas and facilities available to the guests are steplessly.
  • External paths are at least 180 m wide
    and in most cases easy to walk on and drive on
    and have a maximum longitudinal gradient of up to 16 % about 5 m.
  • There is a public toilet for people with disabilities, which is accessible from both sides (minimum 80 cm). There are folding grab rails on the left and right of the toilet. 

Pier Gstadt

  • There is one marked parking space for people with disabilities (parking space size: 350 cm x 500 cm).
  • The bus stop „Ortsmitte Gstadt a. Chiemsee“ is 130 m away.
  • The cash desk is at its lowest point 98 cm high.
    Tickets can also be bought on the ship.
  • All evaluated areas and facilities available to the guests are steplessly.
  • External paths are at least 180 m wide
    and in most cases easy to walk on and drive on
    and have a maximum longitudinal gradient of up to 8 % about 40 m.
  • There is a public toilet for people with disabilities, which is accessible from one side (minimum 80 cm). There are folding grab rails on the left and right of the toilet. 

Pier Herreninsel

  • All evaluated areas and facilities available to the guests are steplessly
  • External paths are at least 200 m wide
    and in most cases easy to walk on and drive on
    and have a maximum longitudinal gradient of up to 16 % about 5 m.
  • There is a public toilet for people with disabilities, which is accessible from both sides (minimum 80 cm). There are folding grab rails on the left and right of the toilet. 

Ship MS Irmingard

  • The object is steplessly accessible via a treshold of 4,5 cm and a mobile ramp. The slope of the ramp varies according to the water level. Employees are available to assist with the access.
  • The middle deck, the rear saloon and the public toilet are  steplessly accessible.
  • All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 86 cm wide.
  • The cash desk is at its lowest point 103 cm high.
  • There is seating available.
  • There is no public toilet designed for people with disabilities.

Ship MS Berta

  • The object is steplessly accessible via a treshold of 4,5 cm and a mobile ramp. The slope of the ramp varies according to the water level. Employees are available to assist with the access.
  • The middle deck, the front open deck (bow) and the WC are steplessly accessible.
  • All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 71 cm wide. 
  • The cash desk is at its lowest point 102 cm high.
  • There is seating available.
  • There is no public toilet designed for people with disabilities.
