Chiemsee Infocenter
Description
The Chiemsee-Alpenland Infocenter is located in Bernau a. Chiemsee, in the district Felden - directly at the Chiemsee.
In the immediate vicinity there is the landing stage of the Chiemsee-Schifffahrt (in summer), which connects Bernau with the Herreninsel and Fraueninsel, a lido, two rehabilitation clinics and the restaurant "Badehaus". At the Chiemsee-Alpenland Infocenter, guests can find out about excursion destinations, book accommodations and reserve tickets for events. The staff of Chiemsee-Alpenland Tourismus will be happy to help. In addition, a wide range of brochures on the region are available to take away free of charge.
Access to the Infocenter and all rooms usable by guests are designed to be barrier-free. There are toilets for the disabled and wheelchair users, which can be reached by elevator. Parking spaces for people with disabilities are also available.
The Infocenter is certified according to "Travel for All".

- There are two marked parking spaces for people with disabilities (space size: 500 cm x 500 cm).
- There is a bus stop 500 m away.
- The building is accessible without steps.
- All rooms and facilities that can be used and raised for the guest are accessible at ground level or via a lift.
- The lift cabin is 108 cm x 140 cm. The lift door is 90 cm wide.
- All doors/passages that can be used by the guest and are raised are at least 90 cm wide.
- The counter is 74 cm high at the lowest point.

- The maneuvering spaces are:
in front of the washbasin 170 cm x 90 cm;
in front of the WC 230 cm x 122 cm;
to the left of the WC 90 cm x 70 cm;
to the right of the WC 104 cm x 70 cm. - There are grab rails to the left and right of the WC.
- Both grab rails can be folded up.
- The washbasin is wheelchair accessible..
- The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
- There is a button as an alarm trigger.

- Assistance dogs are allowed in relevant areas/rooms.
- The entrance is visually rich in contrast and recognizable by a tactile change of floor covering.
- All evaluated areas usable by the guest are well illuminated, i.e. bright and glare-free.
- There are no visually contrasting or tactilely detectable floor indicators.
- The signage is designed in clearly legible and contrasting font.
- Information for orientation is not available in Braille or conveyed audibly.
- An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly. The stopping position is not announced by spoken commands. The operating controls in the elevator are visually rich in contrast and tactilely detectable. Alternatively stairs are available.
- Steps are not visually rich in contrast. Stairs have at least a handrail on one side.
- Aids offered: reading aids (reading glasses, magnifying glasses, etc.)
