Canyoning Tours "Canyoning adaptive"

Description

purelements offers - under certain conditions - guided canyoning tours for people with walking disabilities, people with visual impairments and blind people, people with hearing impairments as well as people with cognitive impairments. During the tours it is partly necessary to swim. Some rocks are mastered by rappeling, climbing and sliding - always under guidance. The tours are accompanied by trained and experienced guides (certified canyoning guides). The safety equipment is provided by purelements.

Requirements

  • Minimum age: approx. 12 years
  • Language: German/English
  • Health and physical conditions according to information of the tour provider purelements:
    • The guest should have a good general state of health (e.g. no known heart complaints which could lead to vital restrictions).
    • Furthermore, the guest should be able to swim and should not suffer from vertigo.
    • The guest should be able to make a moderate physical effort for about 3-4 hours.
  • The tours are not suitable for guests with plegy/paralysis. Tours for guests with paresis are very limited and only conditionally possible (depending on the degree of limitation).
  • Health impairments, restrictions regarding vertigo and swimming skills are always determined in advance by purelements during tour planning (in advance in a personal conversation by telephone, e-mail exchange). The individual possibilities and feasibility will be discussed.

Canyoning-Tour in the "Starzlachkamm Sonthofen/Winkel": Brief description

  • There are further canyoning tours with similar conditions in the "Lechtal" including "Stuibenfälle", "Planseecanyon" as well as "Wiesbach".
  • The canyon selected in each case depends on the conditions and needs of the guest and the actual implementation depends on the daily conditions (e.g. weather, water level).
  • Period of execution: April to October
  • Duration, level of difficulty and starting time will be agreed individually.
  • Number of participants: 2 people
  • Meeting point: One day before the tour the guest will be informed of the specific time and meeting point with the guide. At this meeting point the guest will be welcomed by the guide and from then on he/she will be looked after.

Information for people with walking disabilities and wheelchair users

  • Canyoning tours are offered for people with walking disabilities, but not for wheelchair users.
  • The tours are not suitable for guests with plegies/paralysis. The tours are accompanied by experienced guides (certified canyon guides).
  • The paths during the canyoning tour are mostly not easy to walk and drive on (e.g. stream with stony underground, gravel paths).
  • There are steps and stairs in several sections.
  • Partially it is necessary to swim, some rocks are mastered by rappeling, climbing and sliding - always under guidance.
  • The guide-guest ratio is a maximum of 1:7.

Information for visually impaired and blind people

  • Canyoning tours for visually impaired and blind people are offered.
  • Assistance dogs are allowed. Depending on dog and canyon, they may not be able to join you on a canyoning tour.
  • There is no information available in Braille.
  • For blind and visually impaired people, a guide is used as a leader (if necessary 1:1 support).

  • Canyoning tours are offered for people with hearing impairment.
  • An audio induction loop or FM systems are not offered during the canyoning tours.
  • There is no technical possibility for deaf people to communicate with the service staff.
  • There are no canyoning tours in German sign language.
