Description

Café Markmiller in Straubing welcomes guests with and without handicap in its open and cozy atmosphere!

In the café, guests can enjoy a delicious menu or an afternoon cup of coffee with a slice of cake. During the summer months, the sun terrace invites you to enjoy cool drinks or an ice cream sundae. It is also possible to book Café Markmiller for events, where you will be supported by the organized team, who will put together a great event in accordance with your wishes and, for example, conjure up a great buffet for you.

  • The "Steinweg" bus stop is approx. 230 metres away. 
  • There are two parking spaces for people with disabilities.  One parking space is at least 370 cm wide and 480 cm long.
  • The car park is 170 m from the entrance.
  • Access is stepless via a door threshold with a height of 2.5 cm.
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used by the guest and are raised are steplessly accessible (max. 2 cm threshold). Exception: The threshold to the outdoor terrace of the catering area is 4 cm high. 
  • Passages and doors are at least 93 cm wide. 
  • The counter is 90 cm high at its lowest point. 
  • There are wheelchair-accessible tables (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair-accessible at a height of 67 cm with a depth of 30 cm). 

Public toilet for people with disabilities, ground floor

  • The manoeuvring spaces are as follows:
    in front of the sink 140 cm x 200 cm;
    in front of the toilet 183 cm x 200 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 92 cm x 70 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 49 cm x 70 cm.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • There is a cord as an alarm trigger.

  • Assistance dogs (guide dogs, guide dogs for the blind, etc.) may be brought into all relevant areas/rooms of the establishment/provision.  
  • The entrance area is recognisable by a tactile change of floor covering and visually contrasted with the surroundings. 
  • There are glass doors that have no safety markings at a height of 40-70 cm and 120-160 cm.
  • There are no floor indicators.
  • All elevated areas that can be used by guests (entrance area, cash desk/counter, bedrooms, corridors, hallways) are well lit, i.e. bright and glare-free.
  • The menu is designed in plain, high-contrast lettering.

  • In the event of an audible alarm (e.g. fire alarm), there is a clearly visible flashing or blinking signal.
  • There is no audio induction loop system. 
  • There are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps standing or hanging that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact.
