Community Center "Lechner Bräu"

Description

The Lechner Bräu, first mentioned in a document in 1729, was the largest brewery in Baunach and also exported its beer far beyond the city limits. In addition to various types of beer, it even produced smoked beer and also lemonade, and it also had a malt house. In 1987, beer was brewed here for the last time. After a long period of vacancy, the town built a modern community center out of the ruins of the former brewery, with a library, a community hall, a doctor's office, an ice cream parlor and a hairdressing salon. From the former malting tower, you can now look out over the roofs of the town; the view of the official castle opposite is particularly beautiful.
