Library at the railway station

Description

Enjoyment without remorse - browsing, drinking coffee and relaxing in a stately ambience.

Awarded the 1st Bavarian Library Prize in 2021, the library in the train station is located right in the center of town, on the edge of the famous Veitshöchheim rococo garden. A wide range of different media can be borrowed. The easily accessible reading café also offers space to linger, daily newspapers for general use and regular space for events (readings, concerts, etc.). The library is also a cultural monument. Built in 1855 to a design by architect Gottfried von Neureuther in the style of an Italian Renaissance villa, the station building with its arcades and royal pavilion is a popular tourist attraction.
