Biohotel Eggensberger

Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report. 

• There are two marked parking spaces for people with disabilities at the main building/therapy center.
• There are no parking spaces for people with disabilities at the hotel. If required, a parking space can be reserved in front of the hotel or in the underground garage.
• The hotel and therapy center are accessible without steps.
• All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are accessible without steps. Exceptions are described in the text.
• The elevator in the hotel is 107 cm x 140 cm. The elevator door is 90 cm wide.
• All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests in the hotel are at least 81 cm wide or alternatives are available. The exception is the door to the seminar room on the 1st floor (78 cm).
• The reception desk is 110 cm high. There is another, equivalent means of communication while seated.
• The dining room is accessible via a 3.5 cm high threshold. Wheelchair-compatible tables are available (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair compatible at a height of 67 cm with a depth of 30 cm). 
• The following aids are available: wheeled walker

Room "Wiesenzauber" - No. 803 and 804 (1st floor, double room)

• Doors are at least 81 cm wide. The threshold to the balcony is 12 cm high.
• The manoeuvring spaces are:
  in front of essential furnishings (e.g. wardrobes) 95 cm x 111 cm;
  to the left of the bed 76 cm x 177 cm; to the right of the bed 75 cm x 177 cm.
• The bed is 54 cm high.
• The manoeuvring spaces in the bathroom are:
  in front of the washbasin 110 cm x 145 cm; in front of the WC 84 cm x 128 cm;
  to the left of the WC 25 cm x 54 cm; to the right of the WC 25 cm x 41 cm.
• The washbasin is wheelchair compatible at a height of 66 cm (27 cm deep). The mirror cannot be seen when seated.
• The threshold-free shower is 80 cm x 205 cm. A grab rail is available. A shower seat can be provided if required.

Suite - No. 801 (1st floor)

• Doors are at least 81 cm wide, in the 2nd bedroom 68 cm. The threshold to the balcony is 12 cm high.
• The manoeuvring spaces in bedroom 1 are:
  in front of essential furnishings (e.g. wardrobes) 100 cm x 99 cm;
  to the left of the bed 100 cm x 174 cm; to the right of the bed 50 cm x 174 cm.
  The double bed is 56 cm high.
• The manoeuvring spaces in bedroom 2 are:
  in front of essential furnishings (e.g. wardrobes) 100 cm x 99 cm;
  to the left of the bed 59 cm x 174 cm.
  The single bed is 55 cm high.
• The manoeuvring spaces in the bathroom are:  
  in front of the washbasin 162 cm x 131 cm; in front of the WC 84 cm x 128 cm;
  to the left of the WC 24 cm x 41 cm; to the right of the WC 27 cm x 54 cm.
• The washbasin has limited access. The mirror cannot be seen from a seated position.
• The threshold-free shower is 104 cm x 156 cm. A grab rail is available. A shower seat can be provided if required.

Family apartment no. 915 (2nd floor)

• Doors are at least 81 cm wide, in the bedroom 69 cm. The threshold to the balcony is 7 cm high.
• The manoeuvring spaces in the sleeping area in the living room are:
  in front of essential furnishings (e.g. wardrobes) 115 cm x 200 cm;
  to the left of the bed 64 cm x 175 cm; to the right of the bed 160 cm x 175 cm.
  The double bed is 54 cm high.
• The manoeuvring spaces in the bedroom are:
  in front of essential furnishings (e.g. wardrobes) 200 cm x 143 cm;
  to the left of the bed 143 cm x 175 cm; to the right of the bed 78 cm x 175 cm.
• The single beds are 58 cm high.
• The manoeuvring spaces in the bathroom are:  
  in front of the washbasin 200 cm x 92 cm; in front of the WC 200 cm x 80 cm;
  to the left of the WC 93 cm x 57 cm; to the right of the WC 24 cm x 45 cm.
• The washbasin has limited access. The mirror cannot be seen from a seated position.
• The threshold-free shower is 106 cm x 148 cm. A grab rail is available. A shower seat can be provided if required.

Wellness area - garden spa

• The elevator cabin is 110 cm x 132 cm. The elevator door is 85 cm wide.
• All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 80 cm wide. Exceptions are the saunas and the infrared cabin (see test report).
• The door threshold to the infrared cabin is 10.5 cm high.
• The threshold-free shower is 89 cm x 220 cm. A grab rail is available. A shower seat can be provided if required.
• There are flat steps with handrails to access the natural swimming pool.

WC for people with disabilities

• The manoeuvring spaces are:
  in front of the washbasin 128 cm x 95 cm; in front of the WC 128 cm x 95 cm;
  to the left of the WC 95 cm x 57 cm; to the right of the WC 22 cm x 57 cm.
• There is a fold-up grab rail to the left of the WC.
• The washbasin has limited access.
• There is a cord as an alarm trigger.

Therapy center

• The elevator car is 80 cm x 95 cm. 
• All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 70 cm wide.
• The swimming pool can only be reached via two steps. There are flat steps with handrails and a lifting device to enter the pool.

WC for people with disabilities

• The manoeuvring spaces are:
  in front of the washbasin and WC 143 cm x 162 cm;
  to the left of the WC 77 cm x 52 cm; to the right of the WC 32 cm x 52 cm.
• There is a grab rail to the right of the toilet.
• The washbasin has limited access.

• Assistance dogs may be brought into all relevant areas/rooms. There are specific rooms for dog owners.
• The entrances are visually rich in contrast, but not recognizable by a tactile change of floor covering.
• All elevated areas that can be used by guests are well lit, i.e. bright and glare-free.
• The signage is designed in easily legible and high-contrast lettering.
• Glass doors are usually not marked with safety markings.
• An outgoing emergency call in the elevators is confirmed audibly. The operating elements are visually rich in contrast and tactilely detectable.
• Stair treads are not visually rich in contrast. Stairs have a handrail on at least one side.
• Information is not available in Braille or prismatic writing.

• There is no clearly visible alarm.
• There is no audio induction loop system.
• An outgoing emergency call in the elevators is confirmed audibly.
• In the dining room there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps standing or hanging that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact. There is no seating area with low background noises (e.g. corner seating, separate room).

Room no. 803 and 804, suite no. 801, family apartment no. 915 

• There is at least one freely available socket near the bed.
• Ringing or knocking on the room door is not indicated by a flashing signal, which can be heard in all rooms.
• Wi-Fi is offered.
