Bichl Vacation Apartments

Description

Situated between Karwendel and Zugspitze, you will find the Bichl vacation apartments, which have been furnished with thought, a personal touch and many years of experience.

At the Bichl vacation apartments you can choose between three vacation apartments, which were designed accessible: "Fernweh", "Momentensammler" and "Tagträumer". With a size of 62 m², 68 m² or 113 m², the accommodations are suitable either for couples or also families with up to two children. The apartments offer direct access to the respective personal terrace. Real spruce wood and natural clay plaster guarantee a special living climate. Access to all apartments is at ground level and accessible directly from the parking lot in front of the front door. The accommodations are all equipped with bedrooms, a kitchen and a living and dining area and a bathroom. The largest of these three apartments "Tagträumer" has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, as well as a guest toilet. In the bathroom guests can also use the free shower chair if needed.

  • Parking spaces are available. The path from the parking lot to the entrance of the "Tagträumer" apartment has a maximum longitudinal gradient of 9% over a distance of 7 m.
  • The "Bärnbichl" bus stop is approx. 120 m from the apartments.
  • All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are steplessly accessible. The exception is the laundry room, which can only be reached via stairs from the "Fernweh" and "Momentensammler" apartments.
  • Door thresholds are up to 2.5 cm high.
  • The dining tables are wheelchair compatible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm. In the kitchens, work surfaces, sinks and the stove are not wheelchair compatible.

Apartment "Fernweh"

  • All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are 85 cm wide (or alternatives are available).
  • The manoeuvring spaces in the bedroom are:
    in front of essential furnishings (e.g. wardrobes) 200 cm x 140 cm;
    to the left of the double bed 53 cm x 173 cm; to the right of the double bed 140 cm x 173 cm.
  • The bed is 53 cm high.
  • The manoeuvring spaces in the bathroom are:  
    in front of the washbasin 200 cm x 106 cm; in front of the WC 200 cm x 129 cm;
    to the left of the WC 32 cm x 44 cm; to the right of the WC 203 cm x 54 cm.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair compatible. The mirror cannot be seen when seated.
  • The threshold-free shower is 97 cm x 142 cm. There are no grab rails. A shower seat can be provided if required.
  • The manoeuvring spaces in the separate toilet are smaller. Details can be found in the test report.

Apartment "Momentensammler"

  • All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are 71 cm wide (or alternatives are available).
  • The manoeuvring spaces in bedroom 1 are:
    in front of essential furnishings (e.g. wardrobes) 200 cm x 75 cm;
    to the left of the double bed 55 cm x 173 cm; to the right of the double bed 75 cm x 173 cm.
  • The manoeuvring spaces in bedroom 2 are:
    in front of essential furnishings (e.g. wardrobes) 200 cm x 104 cm;
    60 cm x 173 cm to the left of the double bed; 66 cm x 173 cm to the right of the double bed.
  • The beds are 53 cm high.
  • The manoeuvring spaces in the bathrooms are less than 120 cm deep. The WCs cannot be accessed from the side.
  • The washbasins are not wheelchair compatible. The mirrors cannot be seen from a seated position.
  • The showers without thresholds are 90 cm x 110 cm. There are no grab rails. A shower seat can be provided if required.

Apartment "Tagträumer"

  • All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are 74 cm wide (or alternatives are available) with the exception of the wardrobe (62 cm).
  • The manoeuvring spaces in bedroom 1 are:
    in front of essential furnishings (e.g. wardrobes) 297 cm x 111 cm;
    to the left of the double bed 71 cm x 173 cm; to the right of the double bed 111 cm x 173 cm.
  • The manoeuvring spaces in bedroom 2 are:
    in front of essential furnishings (e.g. wardrobes) 200 cm x 123 cm;
    52 cm x 173 cm to the left of the double bed; 69 cm x 173 cm to the right of the double bed.
  • The beds are 53 cm high.
  • The manoeuvring spaces in bathroom 1 are:
    in front of the washbasin 200 cm x 154 cm; in front of the WC 200 cm x 158 cm;
    to the left of the WC 32 cm x 44 cm; to the right of the WC 46 cm x 54 cm.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair compatible. The mirror cannot be seen when seated.
  • The threshold-free shower is 90 cm x 110 cm. There are no grab rails. A shower seat can be provided if required.
  • The manoeuvring spaces in the 2nd bathroom (by bedroom 2) and in the separate toilet are smaller. Details can be found in the test report.

  • Assistance dogs may be brought into all relevant areas/rooms.
  • All elevated areas that can be used by guests are well lit, i.e. bright and glare-free.
  • The signage is designed in easily legible and high-contrast lettering.
  • Information is not available in Braille or prismatic writing.
  • Stairs do not have high-contrast edges. Handrails are partially available.
  • Control elements (e.g. door handles, light switches) are tactilely detectable almost everywhere and are predominantly visually rich in contrast.
