Peißenberg Mining Museum

Description

The former colliery building is now home to the Peißenberg Mining Museum. The history of coal in Upper Bavaria is vividly presented in 14 rooms - from its origins to the last shift in the shaft. In addition to shaft models, tools and miner's lamps, uniforms, numerous pictures and personal documents help to illustrate the history. The museum also has an extensive geological collection.
