General information
- There are two parking spaces for people with disabilities. There are also two parking spaces for minibuses (parking space size: 350 cm x 800 cm).
- Almost all rooms and facilities that can be used by guests are accessible without steps/at ground level or via a ramp or elevator.
- The following areas, among others, are accessible via steps/thresholds: Falkor station in the entrance area (door threshold: 24 cm), 11th station “The boat - interior model” (door threshold: 5 cm), parts of the 12th station “Stowaway” (door threshold: 5 cm) and the exit door at station 12 (door threshold: 3.5 cm), access to the 4D cinema (door thresholds: 4 cm) and the cinema chairs in the 4D cinema (steps)
- All doors/passages and paths that can be used by guests and are raised are at least 70 cm wide. There may be narrower paths within the sets.
- Seating is available.
- There is a public toilet for people with disabilities, which can be accessed from one side (79 cm). There is a folding grab rail on the accessible side of the toilet.
- Aids on offer: 6 wheelchairs, 4 walkers, walking aids with seats.

Film City Guided Tour
- The tour is only possible within a guided tour (duration approx. 90 minutes). The tours are designed in such a way that people with walking difficulties and wheelchair users can take part in every tour and their needs are catered for.
- In principle, pre-booking is recommended for all groups of 10 or more visitors.
- The tour starts with a short train ride that gives an overview of the grounds. Afterwards, various film sets will be visited on foot. There is a designated space for wheelchair users on the train. The train ride (max. one wheelchair) cannot be guaranteed if there are a lot of visitors. The train is accessible via a ramp. The ramp is 89 cm wide and has a maximum longitudinal gradient of 25%.
- The route of the guided tour is largely step-free for wheelchair users.
- Some stations (11, 12 and 15) are accessible via ramps. The ramps are at least 100 cm wide. The ramp at station 11 has a maximum longitudinal gradient of up to 14%, at station 12 up to 14.5% and at station 15 up to 7.4%.
- External paths are at least 150 cm wide, have a maximum longitudinal slope of 3% and are predominantly low-vibration and easy to walk and drive on.
- The following path sections are not low-vibration and easy to walk and drive on: the path between wards 11 and 12 for approx. 50 m, the path within ward 13 for approx. 40 m, the path between wards 16 and 17 for approx. 100 m.
- Doors and passages are mostly at least 90 cm wide. In the 11th station, "The boat - interior model", there is a passageway with a maximum width of 50 cm.
- The exhibits/stations are mainly visible from a seated position.
- The information on the exhibits/stations can mainly be read while sitting.
- Mobile or fixed seating is available for people with walking disabilities to use during the guided tour.
4D cinema
- The cinema can only be visited within the guided tour. The tour guides will assist the guests.The 4D cinema offers visual, optical and mechanical effects.

- The 4D cinema is only accessible via two steps with a height of 4 cm.
- All doors/passages that can be used by the guest and are raised are at least 90 cm wide.
- There are no designated seats for wheelchair users. The designated seats for wheelchair users are accessible without steps.
- Guests in wheelchairs can watch the film sitting in their wheelchairs with 3D glasses in front of the first row of cinema seats. However, the simulation effects (wind, water, fog and light effects) cannot be experienced.
- The adventure cinema also has four rows of seats, each with 10 individual seats, which are only accessible via stairs.
