Tree Top Path Steigerwald

All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility certified - partially accessible for people with walking disabilities and for wheelchair users" .

Some information on accessibility are listed below. Detailed information can be found in the test report.

• There are 14 marked parking spaces for people with disabilities (space size: 350 cm x 450 cm).
• There is a bus stop 100 m away.
• The path from the car park / bus stop to the entrance is 80 m long. It is partly not easy to walk and drive on.
• The treetop path is accessible without steps.
• All rooms and facilities that can be used and raised for the guest are accessible without steps.
• All doors/passages that can be used and raised for the guest are at least 88 cm wide.
• The cash desk (treetop path) is 99 cm high at the lowest point. There is no other equivalent means of communication while seated.
• The cash desk in the shop area is 111 cm high at its lowest point. There is no other, equivalent communication possibility in a seated position.
• The paths of the treetop path are at least 190 cm wide, are mostly easy to walk and drive on and have maximum longitudinal gradients of up to 7 %.
• There are no seats available.
• The stations are mainly visible from a sitting position.
• In the restaurant there are wheelchair accessible tables (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).

Public toilet for people with disabilities (cash desk area of the treetop path)

• The manoeuvring spaces are:
  in front of the toilet and in front of the sink at least 150 cm x 150 cm;
  86 cm x 71 cm to the left of the toilet and
  88 cm x 71 cm to the right of the toilet.
• Grab rails are provided to the left and right of the toilet. The grab rails can be flipped-up.
• The sink can be moved underneath.
• The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
• There is an alarm trigger.

Public toilet for people with disabilities (catering / shop area)

• The manoeuvring spaces are:
  in front of the toilet and in front of the sink at least 150 cm x 150 cm;
  to the left and right of the toilet at least 90 cm x 70 cm.
• Grab rails are provided to the left and right of the toilet. The grab rails can be flipped-up.
• The sink is accessible from underneath.
• The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
• There is an alarm trigger.

 Public toilet for people with disabilities at the end of the treetop path.

• The manoeuvring spaces are:
  in front of the toilet and sink 138 cm x 143 cm;
  to the left of the toilet 84 cm x 71 cm;
  to the right of the toilet 82 cm x 71 cm.
• There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.
• Both grab rails can be flipped-up.
• The sink is wheelchair compatible.
• The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
• There is a cord as an alarm trigger.

• Assistance dogs are allowed in relevant areas/rooms.
• Outdoor paths usually have visually contrasting and tactilely detectable sidewalk boundaries.
• The entrances are usually visually rich in contrast and usually recognizable by a tactile change of floor covering.
• All evaluated areas usable by the guest are well illuminated, i.e. bright and glare-free.
• There are no visually contrasting or tactilely detectable floor indicators.
• The signage is designed in clearly legible and contrasting font.
