Aerial view of Bavarian Forest Tree Top Path in the National Park Center Lusen

Bavarian Forest Tree Top Path in the National Park Center Lusen

Handicapped accessible excursion destination in the middle of the Bavarian Forest near Neuschönau with a unique view over the treetops of the mixed mountain forest.

Description

With a length of 1,300 meters (including the ramp in the tower), the treetop path in the Bavarian Forest National Park near Neuschönau is one of the longest in the world. At eye level with the treetops, at heights of up to 25 meters, it winds past the pristine mixed mountain forest and invites visitors to encounter the forest in a completely new way without risk. No matter what your senses - you've never experienced the forest like this before! Learning stations along the trail convey interesting facts about nature in a playful way. The highlight is the 44-meter-high observation tower, which can also be easily accessed with a wheelchair or stroller up to the penultimate platform, as the path has a maximum incline of 6%. The treetop path is located directly next to an extensive animal enclosure and the Hans-Eisenmann-Haus, one of the two information centers of the Bavarian Forest National Park. Both facilities are also accessible by wheelchair or stroller. The forest inn and Café Eisenmann directly at the exit of the trail round off the offer.
