Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report at the end.

  • There is a designated parking space for people with disabilities (350 cm x 500 cm) at a distance of 50 m to the entrance.
  • The administration building with cash desk, museum shop and public toilet is steplessly accessible (threshold: 3 cm).
  • The cash desk is 82 cm high. There is no equivalent possibility of communication while in a sitting position.
  • In the "Stadel Kirchweidach" ("Museumsstüberl Gastronomie") there are wheelchair accessible tables at a height of 61 cm.
  • All doors and passageways are at least 90 cm wide (exception: "Bartlhof" with 85 cm and "Holzmannhof" with 82 cm).
  • The outdoor paths can´t be walked and driven on as follows:
  • Some buildings are accessible with steps and treshold.
  • The stations no. 5 "Getreidekasten", no. 6 "Seilerei", no. 7 "Stadel Bergham", no. 8 "Bienenhaus", no. 9 "Brechlbad", no. 10 "Windrad", no. 14 "Wagnerhäusl", no. 16 "Stadel Schiltern", no. 17 "Sägemühle" are not accessible. The exhibits as well as the corresponding information in the outdoor area are predominately visible and readable while in a sitting position.
  • Aids offered: Wheelchair.
  • Guided tours for people with walking disabilities and wheelchair users are offered. Seating is available. The entire route is not steplessly accessible for wheelchair users. Reservation is required.

Public toilet at the administration building

  • The toilet can be reached at ground level (threshold height 3 cm).
  • The manoeuvring spaces in the sanitary room are 108 cm x 53 cm on the left next to the toilet, 28 cm x 53 cm on the right, and 205 cm x 130 cm in front of the washbasin and 173 cm x 75 cm in front of the toilet.
  • The toilet has handles that can be folded up on both sides.
  • The washbasin has limited wheelchair access and the mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.

  • Assistance dogs are allowed.
  • The stepless main entrance is visually contrasted to the surroundings and can be recognized by a tactile floor covering change. The entrance door is a glass door and marked with safety markings.
  • On the outside paths there are usually visually contrasting or tactilely detectable sidewalk boundaries. There are no floor indicators.
  • The exhibits/stations in the outdoor area are usually visually rich in contrast.
  • The steps and stairs in the buildings are not visually rich in contrast. Handrails are partly available.
  • No tactile information (Braille or prismatic signs) available. An audio guide is available to provide information
  • Guided tours are offered for people with visual impairments. There are exhibits to touch. Reservation is required.

  • There is no visually perceptible alarm.
  • There is no audio induction loop at the checkout counter or exhibition area.
  • Information on the exhibits/stations is provided in writing.
  • In the "Stadl Kirchweidach" ("Museumsstüberl Gastronomie") there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps that restrict the field of vision or interfere with visual contact. Areas with low background noises are available.
  • Guided tours for people with hearing impairment are offered. Reservation is required.
