Description

The beach wheelchairs have floating cushions attached to the side, which allow the rider to dive into the water via a ramp with the help of an attendant.

At the beautifully located Luegsteinsee in Oberaudorf you will find two beach wheelchairs provided free of charge. These are special wheelchairs with floating cushions attached to the side, which allow the rider to dive into the water up to about chest height. The beach wheelchair can be lowered into the water over a nine-meter ramp with the help of an attendant. The beach wheelchairs can also be ideally used by people who have problems entering the water. Right next to the entrance to the water is the beach wheelchair depot. This also barrier-free cottage, in addition to storing the beach wheelchairs, also serves as a changing room exclusively for the user of the beach wheelchair.

  • The manoeuvring spaces must be:
    in front of the toilet and sink at least 150 x 150 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 25 cm x 70 cm;
    152 cm x 70 cm to the right of the toilet. 
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.
  • The right grab rail can be flipped-up. 
  • The sink can be driven under.
  • The mirror can be seen from a seated position.
