The ARIBO Hotel Erbendorf in Erbendorf, is located directly on the Fichtelnaab and the European cycle path. The barrier-free designed hotel in the style of a noble cruise ship with a large wellness deck inspires active vacationers, relaxation seekers and families alike with an all-round service that leaves nothing to be desired. Situated in the heart of Europe, the hotel offers the ideal starting point for exploring the Steinwald and adjacent Fichtelgebirge. Besides the local "Zoiglkultur" castles and museums invite you to visit. Three of the 40 modernly furnished rooms are designed as accessible rooms. All public hotel areas are also accessible.

  • There are two marked parking spaces for people with disabilities (parking space size: 365 cm x 550 cm).
  • The building is steplessly accessible.
  • Almost all evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are steplessly accessible at ground level or via elevators. Exception: The breakfast terrace Pfalzgafensaal is only accessible via a treshold of 3 cm.
  • The elevator cabins of the three elevators (elevator 1 at reception, elevator 2 conference terminal, elevator 3 wellness area) measure at least 100 cm x 140 cm. The elevator door is 90 cm wide.
  • All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 88 cm wide.
  • The reception desk in the lobby is at its lowest point 75 cm high.
  • There are wheelchair accessible tables available in the restaurant Pier 28 and garden as well as in the breakfast room Pfalzgrafensaal and on the terrace (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).
  • Offered aids: wheelchair, (wheeled) walker, scooter. Other aids available on request.

Room 101 (double room, 1st floor)

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of essential furnishings (e.g. cupboards) at least 200 cm x 200 cm;
    to the left of the bed 65 cm x 200 cm;
    to the right of the bed 63 cm x 200 cm.
  • The bed is 51 cm high.
  • The manoeuvring spaces in the bathroom are:
    in front of the sink 240 cm x 181 cm;
    in front of the toilet 240 cm x 120 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 168 cm x 70 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 26 cm x 56 cm. 
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet. The grab rails can be flipped-up.
  • The sink is accessible to a limited extent.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  •  The shower is accessible without steps (threshold of 2 cm).
  •  The manoeuvring spaces in the shower are 168 cm x 200 cm.
  •  A shower seat is available or can be provided if required.
  • Grab rails are available in the shower.

Room 103 with bathroom (double room, 1st floor)

  • The manoeuvring spaces shall be:
    in front of essential furnishings (e.g. cupboards) at least 200 cm x 200 cm;
    to the left of the bed 65 cm x 200 cm;
    to the right of the bed 63 cm x 200 cm.
  • The bed is 51 cm high. 
  • The manoeuvring spaces in the bathroom are:   
    in front of the sink 240 cm x 181 cm;
    in front of the toilet 240 cm x 120 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 27 cm x 46 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 160 cm x 47 cm. 
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet. The grab rails can be flipped-up.
  • The sink is accessible to a limited extent.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • The shower is accessible without steps (threshold of 2 cm).
  • The manoeuvring spaces in the shower are 168 cm x 200 cm.
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if required.
  • Grab rails are provided in the shower.

Spa Area (ground floor)

  • There are flat steps with handrails for entering the swimming pool.
  • The reception in the spa area is 116 cm high. There is another, equivalent communication possibility while sitting.
  • In the sauna the movement area in front of/behind the door is 250 cm x 127 cm, in front of the lower bench 300 cm x 100 cm. The door width is 90 cm.
  • The shower is not steplessly variable.
  • The manoeuvring space in the shower is 190 cm x 157 cm.
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if required.
  • There are no grab rails available in the shower.
  • An alarm trigger is not available.

Public toilet for people with disabilities (ground floor)

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the sink 140 cm x 102 cm;
    in front of the toilet 95 cm x 135 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 97 cm x 50 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 15 cm x 50 cm.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.
  • The left grab rail can be flipped-up.
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • There is a cord as an alarm trigger.

Public toilet for people with disabilities (conference terminal, ground floor)

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the sink 246 cm x 190 cm;
    in front of the toilet 246 cm x 165 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 33 cm x 60 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 170 cm x 53 cm.
  • There is a grab rail to the right of the toilet.
  • The sink is wheelchair compatible.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • There is a cord as an alarm trigger.

Public toilet for people with disabilities (ground floor; wellness area). 

  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of the sink 220 cm x 168 cm;
    in front of the toilet 168 cm x 143 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 15 cm x 56 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 170 cm x 53 cm.
  • Grab rails are provided to the left and right of the toilet. Exception: conference terminal. Here there is only one grab rail to the right of the toilet. The grab rail can be raised at least on one side.
  • The sink is accessible from underneath.
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • There is an alarm trigger.

  • Assistance dogs are allowed in relevant areas/rooms.
  • The entrance is visually rich in contrast and recognizable by a tactile change of floor covering.
  • All evaluated and usable areas for the guest are well illuminated, i.e. bright and glare-free.
  • The signage is designed in clearly legible and contrasting font.
  • There are glass doors without safety markings in height of 40-70 cm.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly. The break position is not announced by spoken commands. The operating controls are visually rich in contrast and tactilely detectable.
  • Alternatively stairs are available. Stairs in the conference area have visually contrasting edges at least at the first and last step. Stair treads are predominantly not visually rich in contrast. All steps are illuminated with LED. Stairs have at least a handrail on one side.
  • The pool edges (spa area) are visually contrasted.
  • The menu font in the restaurant Pier28 as well as in the breakfast room Pfalzgrafensaal is straightforward and visually rich in contrast.
  • There is no menu available in large print or braille.
  • Offered aids: reading aids (reading glasses, magnifying glasses, etc.)

  • The alarm is clearly visible in the entire building.
  • There is no audio induction loop system reception desk. However, a mobile audio induction loop system can be provided on request.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly.
  • In the restaurant Pier 28, in the garden as well as in the breakfast room Pfalzgrafensaal there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps standing or hanging that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact.
  • There is a seating area with low background noises (e.g. corner seating, separate room) in the indoor restaurants.
  • There is at least one electrical outlet available near the bed.
  • The ringing or knocking on the door is not indicated by a flashing signal which can be detected in all rooms.
  • Wifi is offered.
  • There is a technical possibility for deaf people to communicate with the service personnel.

  • The objectives of the paths are predominantly within sight or signs in visible distance are available.
  • There is no menu with pictures available. During breakfast the dishes are visibly presented (buffet, bar).
