 All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility certified - partially accessible for people with walking disabilities".

Some information on accessibility are listed below. For detailed information please see the evaluation report.

  • There are no marked parking spaces for people with disabilities. 
  • The terrain is steplessly accessible. 
  • All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are steplessly accessible at ground level or via ramps.
  • The ramp to the Umgangshalle has a maximum gradient of 6 % (total length of 1 m).
  • The ramp between circulation hall and outdoor area has a maximum gradient of 16 % (total length of 1 m).
  • All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 84 cm wide. 
  • The cash desk is 120 cm high at its lowest point. There is another, equivalent communication possibility while in a sitting position.
  • Outdoor paths on the adventure circuit are at least 150 cm wide, mostly not easy to walk and drive on and have maximum longitudinal gradients of up to 10 %. Seating is available.
  • The exhibits/stations/objects are predominately visible when seated. 
  • The information on the exhibits/stations/objects is predominately readable when seated. 
  • Technical options for conveying information: multi-media guide, QR codes.
  • The Cambodunum app, which can be used during the tour, offers an info tour as well as a quiz tour.
  • Guided tours for people with walking impairments and wheelchair users are offered on request. A reservation in advance is not necessary. 
  • Mobile or fixed seats are available for people with walking disabilities, which may be used during the guided tour. 

Public WC for people with disabilities (entrance temple district)

  • The toilet door can be opened with a Euro-key.  
  •  The door opens inwards, but does not affect the manoeuvring space in front of the toilet and sink. 
  • The maneuvering spaces are:
    in front of the toilet and the washbasin 108 cm x 157 cm;
    left of the toilet 99 cm x 57 cm, no manoeuvring space on the right. 
  • There are grab rails available on the right and left of the toilet. The grab rail on the right of the toilet can be flipped-up. 
  • The washbasin is wheelchair accessible. 
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting. 
  • An alarm trigger is present.

Public WC for people with disabilities (entrance Kleine Thermen)

  • The toilet door can be opened with a Euro-key.  
  • The maneuvering spaces are:
    in front of the toilet and the washbasin at least 165 cm x 96 cm;
    left of the toilet 45 cm x 72 cm and right of the toilet 93 cm x 72.
  • There are grab rails available on the right and left of the toilet. The grab rail on the right of the toilet can be flipped-up. 
  • The washbasin is wheelchair accessible. 
  • The mirror can be seen while standing or sitting. 
  • An alarm trigger is present.

  • Assistance dogs are allowed in relevant areas/rooms.
  • Outdoor paths usually have visually contrasting sidewalk boundaries.
  • The entrance is visually rich in contrast.
  • All evaluated and usable areas for the guest are well illuminated, i.e. bright and glare-free.  
  • The signage is designed in clearly legible and contrasting font.
  • The exhibits are usually well illuminated.
  • The information about the exhibits is predominately provided in written form and is visually rich in contrast.
  • There is audible information about the exhibits.
  • In the exhibition area "Gallo-Roman Temple District" in the outdoor area, tactile objects are available.
  • Guided tours for people with visual impairments and blind people are offered on request. A reservation in advance is necessary.
  • Information is not available in Braille or prismatic writing.

  • There is no clearly visible alarm.
  • There is no audio induction loop at the counter.
  • The information about the exhibits is predominately provided in written form.
  • Acoustic information is available in the outdoor exhibition area "Gallo-Roman Temple District". 
  • Aids offered: multi-media guide, QR code, videos in German sign language, mobile hearing loops
  • There are no guided tours offered for people with hearing impairment and deaf people.
