The Bavarian Forest – refreshingly natural!

The Accessible Holiday Region Bavarian Forest

The Bavarian Forest is almost entirely under nature and landscape protection. Wild waters, gorges, primeval forests and the omnipresent granite stone characterise this landscape, which has been shaped over millions of years.

Here, you can visit Germany’s last virgin forest and its first national park, explore unspoilt nature parks, climb more than 130 peaks over a thousand metres, celebrate traditions and festivals and enjoy a wide variety of outdoor and leisure activities.

The Bavarian Forest is a place of pristine nature, shady forests, blooming meadows, rugged rocky landscapes and honest, warm-hearted people. Time hasn’t stood still here, but it’s a gift that brings peace and tranquillity – a chance to relax, enjoy your holiday, and come back again.
