Ski courses for people with disabilities

Description
purelements offers individually planned ski courses for people with walking disabilities and wheelchair users, people with visual impairments and blind people, people with hearing impairments and people with cognitive impairments. Health impairments or restrictions are always determined by purelements before the course is planned (in advance in a personal conversation by telephone, e-mail exchange). The individual possibilities and feasibility will be discussed.

Some information on accessibility are listed below.
General information
- Minimum age: approx. 4 years
- Private skiing courses are offered for people with disabilities from beginners to sports drivers.
- The ski courses are offered mainly in the Allgäu ski areas, such as Oberstdorf (Nebelhorn), Nesselwang (Alpspitzbahn), Oberjoch/Bad Hindelang (Oberjoch/Schwandenlift) and Unterjoch (Unterjoch/Spiesserlifte and Sonnenhanglifte). Other ski destinations are possible by arrangement.
- A counselling interview will be held in advance (e.g. requirements, necessary aids, material).
- A transfer to the ski area can be organised.
- Courses are offered in German and English language.
- The ski instructor-student ratio can be increased depending on the restriction (group lessons possible on request depending on the restriction).
Information for people with walking disabilities and wheelchair users
- Alpine skiing and cross-country skiing courses are offered for people with walking disabilities and wheelchair users.
- The supervision is provided by certified snow sports instructors of the purelements DSLV professional ski school (skiing for the disabled).
- The ski instructor-student ratio is 1:1.
- Aids offered: Stabilos (walking aids or crutch skis), seat skis, seat slides, CEECOACH (outdoor communication system)

- The ski instructor-student ratio is 1:1 (blindness)
- People with visual impairments (residual visual acuity) can also be supervised in groups.
- Aids offered: CEECOACH (outdoor communication system) with voice output
- Assistant dogs are allowed if necessary after consultation.
