Description

The 5-star Oberstdorf Residence is absolutely quiet and yet centrally located. The princely suites of Residence 1 offer the highest living comfort with sweeping balconies and terraces. You live in modern alpine style only a few minutes walk from the village center. In the Residence you can use the indoor swimming pool, steam sauna, fitness center, billiards and games room. For small children there is a separate playroom and a playground. All apartments are equipped to be allergy friendly. The use of the mountain railroads is free of charge during the summer season as part of the "Bergbahnticket inklusive" program. Residence 1 (generally)

  • There is no parking space in the underground car park marked for people with disabilities (size of parking space: 230 cm x 530 cm; distance to entrance approx. 9 m).
  • Access to Residence 1 is via a 3 cm high door threshold.
  • The holiday apartments and all rooms that can be used by the guest are steplessly accessible or can be reached via an elevator. There are door thresholds (e.g. 9 cm for balconies/terraces of the holiday apartments, thresholds of 4 cm in the leisure area).
  • The elevator has a cab size of 109 cm x 140 cm. The operating elements are not arranged on a horizontal control panel.
  • In the swimming pool there are flat steps with handrails for entering the pool, but no other aids.
  • There are doors with a width of less than 70 cm in the sauna and swimming area (sauna, public toilets).

Holiday apartment type 1: Smaragd Suite (attic)

  • Doors and passageways are at least 80 cm wide.
  • In the bedroom, the manoeuvring spaces are:
    • in front of essential immobile furnishings 200 cm x 93 cm,
    • 78 cm x 208 cm on the left and 143 cm x 208 cm on the right of the bed.
  • The bed is 54 cm high incl. mattress.
  • In the kitchen living area the dining table is wheelchair accessible, the sideboard/worktop, sink and stove are not. The manoeuvring space in front of the kitchen unit is 300 cm x 139 cm.
  • In the bathroom, the manoeuvring spaces are:
    • to the left of the toilet 78 cm x 56 cm, to the right 25 cm x 56 cm,
    • in front of the toilet 106 cm x 146 cm and in front of the washbasin 150 cm x 101 cm.
  • There are no grab handles in the bathroom.
  • The washbasin is only partially wheelchair accessible.
  • The mirror cannot be seen while sitting or standing.
  • The shower at ground level (threshold: 1 cm) has a manoeuvring space of 97 cm x 112 cm.
  • A shower chair is available.
  • There is no alarm trigger.

Holiday apartment type 2: Topas Suite (1st attic)

  • Doors and passageways are sometimes less than 80 cm wide (bathroom door: 64 cm).
  • In the kitchen living area the dining table is wheelchair accessible.
  • The bathrooms are not designed to be barrier-free (e.g. no handles, no manoeuvring space next to the toilet).
  • There are two further apartments designed like holiday apartment type 2 (similar floor plan and manoeuvring spaces): Citrin Suite (second floor) and Diamant Suite (1st attic).

Holiday apartment type 3: White-opal Suite (ground floor)

  • Doors and passageways are partly less than 80 cm wide (shower door: 64 cm).
  • In the kitchen living area the dining table is wheelchair accessible.
  • The bathrooms are not designed to be barrier-free (e.g. no handles, no manoeuvring space next to the toilet).
  • There are two other apartments designed like holiday apartment type 3 (similar floor plans and manoeuvring spaces): Amethyst Suite (ground floor) and Tourmaline Suite (second floor).

  • Assistance dogs are not allowed.
  • The entrance to Residence 1 is visually rich in contrast and can be recognized by a tactile change of floor covering. There is a glass door without safety markings.
  • The entrances to the respective holiday apartments are visually rich in contrast and can be recognized by a tactile change of floor covering.
  • In the elevator, the stopping position is not announced by spoken commands. The operating elements are provided with Braille or prismatic writing.
  • Information is not available in Braille or prismatic writing (exception: elevator)
  • At the swimming pool of the Residence there are flat steps with handrails to enter the pool.

  • In the case of an acoustic alarm (e.g. fire alarm) there is no clearly optically perceptible alarm.
  • There is no audio induction loop.
  • The emergency call in the elevator is confirmed acoustically, but not visibly.

  • WIFI access is available.
  • Knocking on the apartment doors is not indicated by a flashing signal.
