All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility tested - partially barrier-free for people with walking impairments ".

Some information on accessibility are listed below. For more details, please see the test report at the end of the text.

  • There are three marked parking spaces for people with disabilities in the underground car park (parking space size: 270 cm x 500 cm, distance to ground-level hotel entrance: 10 m).
  • The car park and the path to the hotel entrance are easy to walk and drive on due to their surface quality.
  • The main entrance (on the street side) is accessible without thresholds and steps. The two identical entrance doors (vestibule) are opened without any effort (light barrier).
  • The reception counter is 75 cm to 116 cm high.
  • All passageways/doors in the hotel area are at least 90 cm wide.
  • All evaluated areas usable by the guest are accessible at ground level or by elevator.
  • There are three identical elevators (2nd floor - 6th floor). The evaluated elevator cab measures 143 cm x 153 cm. The passage width of the elevator door is 111 cm. There is no horizontal control panel (height of control buttons 93 cm to 107 cm).
  • The restaurants "Colanda Uno" and "Pizzeria Posta" on the ground floor are steplessly accessible. There are wheelchair compatible tables.

Room 425 with sanitary room (double bedroom)

  • There is a connecting door to another room.
  • The manoeuvring space in front of essential immobile furnishings is 150 cm x 150 cm.
  • The manoeuvring spaces to the left of the bed are 70 cm x 210 cm, to the right 110 cm x 210 cm.
  • The bed is 63 cm high.
  • In the sanitary room, the manoeuvring spaces are as follows:
    at the door 130 cm x 150 cm,
    in front of the toilet 160 cm x 125 cm,
    in front of the washbasin 160 cm x 120 cm,
    to the left of the toilet 88 cm x 71 cm, to the right 81 cm x 71 cm.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair compatible and the mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.
  • The shower area at ground level is 110 cm x 110 cm. A shower chair and horizontal grab handles are available.

Public toilet for people with disabilities on the ground floor

  • The manoeuvring spaces in the toilet are as follows:
    at the door 140 cm x 140 cm,
    in front of the toilet 120 cm x 140 cm,
    in front of the washbasin 80 cm x 100 cm,
    to the left and right of the toilet 80 cm x 71 cm.
  • Handles that can be folded up are provided on both sides of the toilet.
  • The washbasin is wheelchair compatible and the mirror can be seen while standing or sitting.

SPA area with swimming pool and fitness room on the 6th floor

  • All evaluated doors and passages in the SPA area are at least 80 cm wide (exception: door to bio-sauna with 65 cm).
  • In the changing room the manoeuvring space is 120 cm x 98 cm. The narrowest passage width is 64 cm. Seating is available.
  • The threshold at the shower area is 5 cm high. The size of the shower area at ground level is 100 cm x 100 cm. A shower chair and horizontal grab handles are not available. The swimming pool can only be accessed by stairs. There are flat steps with handrails to access the pool.

  • Assistance dogs are not allowed.
  • The main entrance is visually rich in contrast and can be recognized by a tactile change of the floor covering.
  • The two identical entrance doors (vestibule) are opened without any effort (light barrier).
  • Glass doors are usually marked with safety markings.
  • There are no obstacles, e.g. objects protruding into the path/room.
  • Operating elements can be detected tactilely throughout the entire building, but are only partially visually rich in contrast.
  • Paths in corridors are almost everywhere visually rich in contrast and are partially marked with tactilely detectable markings. Some of the walls can be used for orientation. Indoors there is no guidance system with floor indicators.
  • The evaluated rooms and corridors available to the guest, the elevator and the stairs are illuminated brightly and glare-free.
  • In the elevator, an emergency call is confirmed audibly. The stopping position is not announced by speech. Operating elements and signage are rich in contrast, but cannot be tactilely detected or are available in Braille.
  • Staircases have handrails, but no high-contrast step surfaces. There is a tactile contrast between the flooring and the stairways.
  • There is no information in Braille or prismatic writing.
  • The menu in the restaurants is designed in plain, high-contrast font, but is not available in Braille or large print.

SPA area on the 6th floor

  • The threshold to the shower area is 5 cm.
  • The swimming pool is accessible via a low-contrast staircase with handrail.
  • The edge of the swimming pool is visually contrasted.
  • Operating elements can be detected tactilely everywhere, but are rarely visually contrasted.
  • Paths are not visually rich in contrast and are only partially marked with tactile markings or the walls can be used for orientation.
  • All evaluated areas are bright and glare-free illuminated.

  • In the event of an acoustic alarm, there is a clearly optical flashing light or flashing signal in the entrance area at the reception desk.
  • An audio induction loop is available at the reception desk.
  • An emergency call is confirmed audibly, not visibly, in the elevator. Alternatively, low-contrast staircases with handrails are available. There is a tactile contrast between the floor covering and the stairways.
  • In room 425 there is at least one electrical outlet available near the bed.
  • The ringing on the room doors is not indicated by a flashing signal.
  • WiFi and a fax machine are available for communication.
  • In the restaurants "Colanda Uno" and "Pizzeria Posta" on the ground floor there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps standing or hanging that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact. There are seating areas with low background noises.
  • Information is available in written form.

  • Name and logo of the establishment are clearly recognizable from the outside.
  • A business card with the address and telephone number of the hotel is visibly displayed in the room.
  • In the restaurants there is no menu with pictures. The dishes are only presented visibly in the restaurant "Colanda Uno".
  • Information is not displayed with pictograms or pictures. There is no information in easy language.
  • There is no colored or pictorial guidance system.
  • The destination of the path is in sight or there are path signs at a visible distance.
