Whether wellness, hiking or family vacation in beautiful Upper Bavaria, the Hotel St. Georg has the right offer for every season and every taste.

The Hotel St. Georg is located in the Chiemsee Alpenland region, directly on the edge of the forest and yet only a few minutes' walk from the center of Bad Aibling. It has 220 for the most part recently renovated stylishly furnished rooms (of which 4 are barrier-free) and apartments, diverse cozy guest rooms, a winter garden and a cozy beer garden. At the stylish hotel bar or in the fireplace lounge you can end the day pleasantly. All rooms are also accessible by wheelchair. You can relax in the swimming pool, whirlpool or in the various saunas. In addition, various massages, baths and heat therapies are offered. The cosmetic institute BeauDay completes the wellness offer. Right next to the hotel is the Ghersburg Forest with paths that are also accessible to wheelchair users. The city bus "Moorexpress", which wheelchair users can also use very well, stops in front of the hotel and takes guests to the city of Bad Aibling.

  • There is one marked parking space for people with disabilities (parking space size: 370 cm x 500 cm). The path from the car park to the entrance is 15 m long.
  • The bus stop is 110 m away.
  • The building is steplessly accessible.
  • All evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are steplessly accessible at ground level or via an elevator.
  • The elevator cabin measures 109 cm x 140 cm. The elevator door is 79 cm wide.
  • All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 80 cm wide.
  • The reception desk is 113 cm high at its lowest point. There is another, equivalent communication possibility while in a sitting position.
  • There are wheelchair accessible tables in the restaurant "Wintergarten" and in the breakfast room (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).

Room 129 (double room, 1st floor)

  • The maneuvering spaces are:
    in front of essential, fixed furnishings (e.g. wardrobe) 170 cm x 130 cm;
    to the left of the bed 170 cm x 163 cm;
    to the right of the bed 161 cm x 163 cm.
  • The bed is 56 cm high.
  • The maneuvering spaces in the bathroom are:
    in front of the toilet 136 cm x 150 cm;
    in front of the sink 110 cm x 165 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 136 cm x 64 cm,
    there is no maneuvering space on the right.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet. The grab rails can be folded up.
  • The washbasin is accessible to a limited extent.
  • The shower is accessible without steps.
  • The movement area in the shower is 120 cm x 130 cm.
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if required.
  • Grab bars are available in the shower.

Room 132 (double room, 1st floor)

  • The maneuvering spaces are:
    in front of essential, fixed furnishings (e.g. wardrobe) at least 150 cm x 150 cm;
    to the left of the bed 184 cm x 200 cm;
    to the right of the bed 170 cm x 200 cm.
  • The bed is 50 cm high.
  • he maneuvering spaces in the bathroom are:
    in front of the toilet 136 cm x 210 cm;
    in front of the sink 124 cm x 151 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 140 cm x 71 cm,
  • There is no maneuvering space on the left.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet. The grab rails can be folded up.
  • The washbasin is accessible to a limited extent.
  • The shower is accessible without steps.
  • The movement area in the shower is 110 cm x 110 cm.
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if required.
  • Grab bars are available in the shower.

Public WC for people with disabilities (basement)

  • The door is 81 cm wide.
  • The door opens inwards but does not affect the movement areas in front of the WC and washbasin.
  • The maneuvering spaces are:
    in front of the toilet and the washbasin 151 cm x 127 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 106 cm x 60 cm,
    there is no movement area on the left.
  • There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet. 
  • The grab rail to the right of the toilet can be folded up.
  • The washbasin can be lowered to a limited extent.
  • The mirror can be viewed while standing or sitting.

  • Outdoor paths do not have visually contrasting or tactilely detectable sidewalk boundaries.
  • The entrance is visually rich in contrast and recognizable by a tactile change of floor covering.
  • The evaluated areas that can be used by the guest are well lit, i.e. bright and glare-free.
  • There are no visually contrasting or tactilely detectable floor indicators.
  • The signage is designed in clearly legible and contrasting font.
  • There are glass doors without safety markings.
  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly.
  • The stopping position is not announced by spoken commands.
  • The operating controls are visually rich in contrast, but not tactilely detectable.
  • Alternatively stairs are available.
  • At least at the first and last step, stairs have visually contrasting edges.
  • Stairs have handrails on both sides.
  • The menu font in the restaurant is not straightforward and visually rich in contrast.
  • There is no menu available in large print or Braille.
  • Information is not available in Braille or prismatic writing.

  • An outgoing emergency call in the elevator is confirmed audibly.
  • In the restaurant and in the breakfast room there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps standing or hanging that restrict the field of vision or eye contact.
  • There is a seating area with low background noises (e.g. seating corner, separate room).
  • There is at least one electrical outlet available near the bed.
  • The ringing or knocking on the door is not indicated by a flashing signal which can be perceived in all rooms.
