Description

 The family-run Hotel Kaiseralm is located in the heart of the Fichtel Mountains on the outskirts of Bischofsgrün. Various gastronomic facilities provide culinary highlights. The hotel’s spa area is equipped with a swimming pool, sauna and heat cabins, and there is the possibility of massage treatments.   • The public transport stop /Höhenklinik is 200m from the hotel.
  •  Tere is a parking lot for people with disabilities (parking space size: 430 cm x 500 cm, 10 m from the main entrance).
  • The paths between the hotel entrance and the parking lot or bus stop have a low-vibration surface and are easy to walk and drive on.
  • Access to the building is possible without steps via a ramp. The ramp is 120 cm wide, 100 cm long and has a longitudinal incline of 21%.
  • All rooms and facilities that can be used by guests and are elevated are accessible without steps or via an elevator. Door thresholds are max. 2 cm high. 
  • The elevator car is 90 cm x 146 cm. The elevator door is 80 cm wide.
  • Doors and passageways in catering, conference and leisure areas are usually at least 80 cm wide. However, there are doors and passages of less than 70 cm in the rooms and in the wellness area. 
  • The reception counter is 122 cm high at its lowest point. There is another, equivalent communication option available while seated.  
  • In the catering areas, there are tables that can be lowered (maximum height 80 cm, can be lowered at a height of 67 cm with a depth of 30 cm).
  • Access to the pool is via flat steps with handrails.
  • The following aids are provided: Rollator, reading aids (reading glasses, magnifying glasses, etc.).
  • There is no public toilet designed for people with disabilities.  

Room 122 (double room, 1st floor)

  • Doors are at least 53 cm wide.
  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of essential furnishings (e.g. cupboards) 150 cm x 100 cm;
    to the left of the bed 70 cm x 200 cm;
    to the right of the bed 120 cm x 200 cm.
  • The bed is 52 cm high.
  • The manoeuvring spaces in the bathroom are:
    in front of the sink 80 cm x 80 cm;
    in front of the toilet 120 cm x 50 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 20 cm x 54 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 80 cm x 40 cm.
  • The sink has limited access.
  • The shower is accessible without steps. There is a threshold of 1 cm. 
  • The shower / shower area is 70 cm x 150 cm.

Room 121 (double room, 1st floor)

  • Doors are at least 55 cm wide.
  • The manoeuvring spaces are:
    in front of essential furnishings (e.g. cupboards) 200 cm x 106 cm;
    to the left of the bed 120 cm x 200 cm;
    to the right of the bed 80 cm x 200 cm.
  • The bed is 52 cm high.
  • The manoeuvring spaces in the bathroom are:
    in front of the sink 90 cm x 119 cm;
    in front of the toilet 140 cm x 80 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 20 cm x 53 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 20 cm x 53 cm.
  • The sink has limited access.
  • The shower is accessible over a threshold of 7 cm. 
  • The shower / shower area is 70 cm x 120 cm.

  • Assistance dogs may be brought along.
  • There is no guidance system with floor indicators in the outdoor and indoor areas.
  • The main entrance area is visually and tactilely contrasting to the surroundings.
  • Glass doors do not have safety markings.
  • Stairs are not visually or tactilely contrasting.
  • Signage is mostly in legible, visually contrasting lettering.
  • There is no information in Braille or prismatic writing.

  • There is no audio induction loop system  
  • In the elevator, an outgoing emergency call is confirmed acoustically but not visually.
  • Call waiting at the room/apartment door is not indicated by a visual signal.
  • W-LAN, fax or other technical means of communication with the service staff are available free of charge or can be provided on request.
  • There is at least one free electrical outlet in the room near the bed.

Restaurant/catering areas

  • There are tables with bright and glare-free lighting.
  • There are tables where there are no lamps or hanging lamps that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact.
  • There are tables with low ambient noise. An electroacoustic sound system is present, but can be switched off/controlled.
