Public Outdoor Pool Bad Steben

All areas relevant for testing meet the quality criteria of the label "Accessibility certified - accessible for people with walking disabilities and partially accessible for wheelchair users".

• There are two marked parking space for people with disabilities (parking space size: 350 cm x 500 cm).
• The rail station Bad Steben is 1100 m away.
• The terrain is steplessly accessible.
• Almost all evaluated rooms and facilities available to the guests are steplessly accessible or via a ramp (exceptions: volleyball- und curlingfields)
• The ramp has a maximum gradient of 6.5 % and a total length of 14 m (intermediate landings available).
• All evaluated passageways/doors available to the guests are at least 90 cm wide.
• The cash desk is at its lowest point 88 cm high.
• External paths are at least 200 m wide, easy to walk on and drive on and have maximum longitudinal gradients of up to 2,5 %.
• There is an elevated pool edge at seat height above the pool perimeter.
• There are wheelchair accessible tables available in the restaurant (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).

Public toilet for people with disabilities/changing room

• The maneuvering spaces in the bathroom are:
  in front of the washbasin 150 cm x 157 cm;
  in front of the toilet 157 cm x 150 cm;
  to the left of the toilet 36 cm x 70 cm;
  to the right of the toilet 133 cm x 70 cm. 
• There are grab rails to the left and right of the toilet.
• Both grab rails can be flipped-up.
• The washbasin is accessible from underneath at a height of 67 cm and a depth of at least 30 cm.
• The mirror can be viewed while sitting or standing.
• The shower is accessible without steps. 
• The shower area is 133 cm x 150 cm.
• Grab rails are provided in the shower.
• A shower seat is available or can be provided if required (fixed, folding, hook-in or mobile and stable).
• There is an alarm trigger available.

• Assistance dogs may not be brought to the establishment.
• External paths have visually contrasting and tactilely detectable sidewalk boundaries.
• The entrance is visually rich in contrast, but not recognizable by a tactile change of floor covering.
• All evaluated and usable areas for the guest are well illuminated, i.e. bright and glare-free.
• There are no visually contrasting or tactilely detectable floor indicators available.
• The signage is designed in clearly legible and contrasting font.
• At least at the first and last step, stairs have visually contrasting edges. Stairs have handrails on both sides.
• The pool edges are visually contrasted (exception: babypool)

• In the restaurant there are tables with bright and glare-free lighting, on which there are no lamps standing or hanging that interfere with the field of vision or eye contact. There is no seating area with low background noises (e.g. corner seating, separate room).
