The tree house Wipfelglück in the western Spessart offers a unique experience for all visitors. This tree house is barrier-free and therefore accessible for people of all ages and abilities. From the tree house you can experience nature up close and be enchanted by the tranquility and beauty of the surroundings. The tree house itself offers comfort and coziness to all visitors. It has spacious rooms and a large terrace from which you can enjoy the view over the treetops. The physical well-being is also taken care of, as the tree house offers a restaurant where you can enjoy regional specialties. A visit to the tree house Wipfelglück is definitely an experience not to be missed.   • There is a parking space available (pitch size: 350 cm x 500 cm; distance to the entrance of Baumwipfelhaus No. 1 approx. 100 m). There is the possibility to stop for entry and exit directly in front of the tree house.
  •     The outdoor paths are not easy to walk and drive on. The maximum longitudinal gradient of the paths is 8% over 20 m (car park - entrance) and 20% over 6 m (car park - "witches' cottage").
  •     Access to tree house no. 1 is without thresholds or steps.
  •     All rooms of tree house no. 1 that can be used by guests are accessible at ground level.
  •     Doors and passageways of Tree House No. 1 are at least 90 cm wide.
  •     The following aids are provided: Reading aids (reading glasses, magnifying glasses, etc.), height-adjustable nursing bed (in-house).

Tree house no. 1 with bathroom

  • Entrance/access is possible without steps (max. 2 cm threshold, if necessary via a ramp). 
  • Doors are at least 90 cm wide.
  • The maneuvering spaces are
    in front of essential furnishings (e.g. cupboards) 200 cm x 131 cm;
    to the left of the bed 200 cm x 200 cm;
    to the right of the bed 60 cm x 200 cm.
  • The bed is 65 cm high.
  • There is a table that can be moved under (maximum height 80 cm, can be moved under at a height of 67 cm with a depth of 30 cm). 
  • The maneuvering spaces in the bathroom are
    160 cm x 200 cm in front of the washbasin;
    in front of the toilet 200 cm x 160 cm;
    to the left of the toilet 200 cm x 50 cm;
    to the right of the toilet 17 cm x 50 cm.
  • There is a grab rail to the right of the toilet.
  • The washbasin is accessible from underneath at a height of 67 cm and a depth of at least 30 cm.
  • The shower is accessible without steps.
  • The shower area is 200 cm x 200 cm.
  • There are grab rails in the shower.
  • A shower seat is available or can be provided if required (permanently installed, foldable, hook-in or mobile and stable).

Tree house "Hexenhäuschen" with bathroom

  • The witch's cottage is accessible via a step (15 cm high). There is another doorstep with a height of 15 cm.
  • Doors are at least 60 cm wide.
  • The maneuvering spaces are:
    in front of essential furnishings (e.g. cupboards) 100 cm x 100 cm;
    to the right of the bed 42 cm x 117 cm;
    there is no movement area to the left of the bed. 
  • The bed is 60 cm high.
  • The table on the terrace is wheelchair accessible (maximum height 80 cm, wheelchair accessible at a height of 67 cm and a depth of 30 cm).
  • The bathroom in the witches' cottage is not designed to be barrier-free.

  • Assistance dogs are allowed (Baumhaus Nr. 1).
  • The outside paths have a tactile detectable walkway boundary.
  • The entrance area of the tree house no. 1 is not visually rich in contrast, but can be recognized by a tactile change of the floor covering.
  • The tree house no. 4 is only accessible via a staircase with 13 steps and a handrail on both sides. The staircase is not visually rich in contrast.
  • Almost everywhere the evaluated areas usable for the guest are well illuminated, i.e. bright and glare-free.
  • The operating elements (e.g. door handles, light switches, emergency call buttons) can be detected tactilely throughout the entire building and are predominantly visually rich in contrast.
  • There is no uninterrupted guidance system with floor indicators.
  • The walls or other structural elements can be used for orientation.
  • Information is not available in Braille or prismatic writing.

  • There is at least one freely available outlet near the bed.
